"It's motive alone who gives character to the actions of men."

As number (at least two) more bodies join that of the first casualty, panic begins to hit the remaining number (no more than nineteen) guests,  though they all do their best to keep it hidden despite knowing they  all share the same anguish; one of them is a killer.

Lucy McGreggor, Belle  Williams and Isaac Gangionthe re, maining reporters, discuss the story,  as if they were attempting to distance themselves from the sitution by  turning it into triviality. As they both know, it's not worth it.

Three of the corners in  the room are occupied. In one sits Jamie Webber, a glass of red wine  casually sat in his hand as he observes the scene. Adjacent to him is  Theodore Leblanc-Boudreau, brooding in absolute silence. In the third  corner stands a short and slightly stout man, constantly pressing his  glasses forwards. He has not yet interacted with the others, but this is  soon to change.

In the center of the  dining hall is the largest group, composed of Mellissande Vanar,  Penelope Lockheart, Samuel Schilling and Essie Valentino. The first  three seem to be trying to explain what has happened to the blind girl,  though they all look slightly faint. Cassanova Chryselr is hovering  around them, but she is not yet speaking to anybody.

At the doorway, Samuel  Peabody can be seen ranting to Cecily Leblanc-Miles about her reckless  actions while Ryker Mo Ward observes them, a slight smile on his face.  Though Gwenette is not in the room, her voice can be heard, and Jamie's  wine glass is vibrating slightly. Nick sat in the hall, unnoticed by  anyone.

Finally, the tense  silence that fills the room is broken when the pudgy man clears his  throat. "Well, I might as well unveal myself then," he says, and people  instantly stare at him. "Oh! Not like that; I'm inspector Henry Graham,  of Scotland Yard. I know each and every one of you more than you so  think and more than you wish, but I will have this case solved.  Each and every one of you has a reason to want this man dead... a  motive, if you will. I will be waiting in the lounge for you to confess  your secret. The best way to clear yourself is to come fully clean."

And so he leaves the room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Task: You  must tell Inspector Graham how you knew the victim - you can make up  absolutely everything about them - and why you wanted them dead. Yes,  there must be a reason. At the end of this task, Inspector Graham will  ask you who you think the killer is. You MUST answer. This will count as  your "kill" if you wish.

Deaths: You  must nominate one person that you believe to be the killer. The two  with the most nominations will be put up for votes and the others will  be safe. DO NOT discuss who you nominate with the others. You may not  kill Essie Valentino, as she had the best entry last task and is  therefore granted immunity.

Killer: Please  send me three ballot deaths. These three will be up for votes  individually, and two of them will die. You also may not kill Essie  Valentino.

Word Limit: 1500 words.

Due Date: Thursday, September 26th, 2013 at 8 PM EST. Failure to hand in will result in being put up for votes instantly.

Bonus: The  first person to tell me who said the quote at the top of the task will  be removed two nominations, and if they were killed by the killer, the  killer WILL be asked to send another death. This can be very useful, but  your guess must be PM-ed WITH your entry.
