Arena One: Fillius Ravenscar

The only thing that can  be heard as you rise into the arena is crickets. Their chirps are almost  unnaturally noisy, filling your ears. Around you is a forest, not  unlike the majority of Games. To the north, hills roll left and right,  with a stream running through them, forming a valley of sorts. A  coniferous forest fills the east, pricks sticking out left and right,  while nice and leafy trees fill the west, a sweet earthy smell coursing  through them. Not quite too sweet, but just enough to be pleasant.  Plains stretch out south as far as the eye can see, offering very little  for concealment other than a few shrubs that seem to coat the land.  There is a cool breeze in the air, balancing with the harsh sun and  keeping everybody at a comfortable temperature. All the way at the end  of the plain stands a doorway-shaped mirror, though the mirror is not  flat but wavy, and the reflection of the arena in it looks deformed. It  is protected by a light grey force field, as if the Gamemakers want you  to see it to make sure you don't run into it. The Cornucopia lies in the  middle, its glistening gold tail pointing straight north, like a  compass would.

"Hello," Fillius' voice  fills the air, monotonous and business-like. "I do hope you enjoy my  creation. You see, Audax and I have decided it would be best to take  separate arenas, due to... artistic differences. I do hope he hasn't  messed up and made some grand spectacle."

"As for the force field, don't worry about it; it'll come down soon enough."

Arena Two: Audax Locustus

The sound of carnival  music tickles your ears as your head peeps into the arena. When your  plate clicks into place the sound crackles then cuts off, leaving you in  an eerie silence. You eye the wooden Cornucopia. The area that will  soon be the Career camp is surrounded by fast food stands and littered  with wrappers. A Ferris wheel looms in the background; half the cars lay  on the ground, covered in dents and blood. As you look around more a  terrible thought sneaks into your conscious. Everything looks like it  was deserted in seconds. Popcorn is sprawled across the few remaining  tufts of grass, a clown mask lays overturned in the dirt. Even a few of  the games are still running. Soon the true game will start. As the timer  falls into single digits the music returns with a static start, Audax's  voice hovers over a speaker.

"I always thought this place needed a little more color."

The Task:

-This task covers the  first few minutes in the arena, most commonly known as the bloodbath.  For those of you who skipped reading the actual task and just went  straight to this (that's right, we're onto you), you may want to read  the actual description for two reason. A: You just might want to know  what the arena looks like. B: You need to know which arena you are in  and what other tributes around you. That's right; you've been split into  two arenas. Yes, we are fully aware that that might separate you from  your allies. Please, no complaining about your arena or the people in  it, because these are final and a lot of thought were put into these.  Seriously. I made two lists. Not one, but TWO.

-Five people must die in  this entry. At least one must die by your hand, and two others have to  be seen directly. You may use the faces in the sky to reveal the last  two deaths if you wish, but those other three must happen during the  actual bloodbath. At the end of your entry, please hand in a list of the  tributes you killed (they must be from your arena) as well as three  secret ballot deaths. These do not need to be tributes in your arena.

-Awards will be given for Best Entry, Best Characterization, Best Quote, First Entry, and Last Entry.

-Hand in by ­Monday,  July 29th at 8 PM EST. Handing in within the hour before it is due will  result in instantly losing a point off your entry.

-Enver Code and Stu Misterpot do not need to hand in this task and will get an instant score of twelve.

-Word Limit: 1200 words

-Eight tributes will die, ten will be put up for votes.

(Failure to hand in  will result in instantly being put up for votes, without your tribute  score to help you. If you did not hand in another task, then it will  result in instant death.
