Task Two: The Visit

As the sun rises up,  reaching all the way to the sky, the initiates from each faction gather  in their respective dining halls. None look too tired, yet, but last  night was just the start; initiation is a long process and there's no  guarantee whatsoever of a happy ending.

In the Candor quadrant  of the city, Matt stands tall before his initiates. He has had to do  this before, but that doesn't make him any more fond of it. "It is with  great sadness that I must inform you that two of our initiates are to be  made factionless: Persephone Promise and Wade Conin."

Over in the Erudite  section, Minerva is doing the same, though there is only one name and  she is less saddened to expel a prospect; only the best deserve the name  Erudite. "Athena Stafford."

Those who have been made  factionless head out the halls and into the factionless section of the  city. Although they were separated at the Choosing ceremony, now they  are to be grouped, no longer separated by their factions and their  differences. They share the same fate.

In the Amity compound,  Aimee stares at her crowd of about sixteen initiates, four cut after the  first round. "Your first day of initiation was fairly easygoing,  compared to what you will soon go through. This is why today is - as I'm  sure you all know - what we call Visiting Day. Today, your family has  been invited to come see you, as long as they are not currently  initiates, obviously, and those who have accepted stand behind the  wooden doors. They will come in in exactly five minutes."

In the Abnegation  compound, Penelope lectures her initiates, hoping to spare them from  emotional damage. "Remember, transfers; not all families will come. Some  will not have the time, and some may be a little disappointed by your  choice. This doesn't mean they don't love you, just that they need time.  The same goes to those who were born here."

"It might be best not to  seem too attached, if your families do come," Merida warns the hopeful  Dauntless. "We take the phrase 'Faction Before Blood' quite seriously  here. Attachment to your family might hint towards not being fully  satisfied with your choice, which would be shameful, wouldn't it?"

As if to answer her questions, the doors fly open. It is Visiting time.

(Also; I apologize for  originally saying voting would close at 12 PM; tired Ghost got confused  and forgot the typical voting time was 8 AM. My apologies.)
