Task One: The Arrival

Abnegation:

When the initiates  arrive to their new faction, their welcome is less than lavish, but that  was to be expected; a big ceremony would be self-indulgent.  Nonetheless, a feast has been organized, out in the open, available to  the public. Nobody is a guest of honour, despite the gathering's  welcoming you, and nobody is turned down either. Everybody is equal.

For now.

THE TASK:

- Describe the banquet.  Eventually, a factionless man approaches you, asking for food. The law  forbids begging, but the man is starving and needs the food. Your  decision must be made obvious by the end of the entry.

Amity:

The Amity farms are a  beautiful place, even to those who've seen them their whole lives. To  the new arrivals, the surroundings are utterly captivating, but they're  being ushered - along with the rest of the initiates - towards the  laboratories where they make their serums.

The initiates feel the stinging of a needle in their bicep, and then they see nothing but black.

The Task:

- The hallucination they  show you is called a scare tactic (a way to scare you into behaving).  The scene before you is war, bloody and gruesome, and you are right in  the middle of it.

Candor:

The first test for the  initiates takes the place of a game. Although the transfers have not  heard of it, there is not as popular a game in the entire Candor section  of the city. Although it requires your honesty, it is also one of the  only times when the children are allowed to lie.

Now, they play.

THE TASK:

- The task is simple;  your character is playing a game called Two Truths and a Lie. They state  two truths about themselves as well as a lie, and then answer the  audience's questions to help them decide which is untrue.

Dauntless:

As the initiates head  towards the Dauntless compound, the transfers cannot help but notice how  unsteady and dangerous the train is. Really, it's only to be expected,  from the Dauntless, but it still comes as a shock. The rails are above  the city, level with the rooftops, as if to make it more dangerous.

The train slows down, just barely; they have arrived.

- Jump off the moving  train at full speed and onto the roof of the Dauntless compound.  Pleasant, isn't it? (Do write events leading up to/after it, if you  please)

Erudite:

Last, but not least, the  Erudite arrive to their quadrant of the city. Not ones to waste time,  they instantly set to work, doing what they do best: being intelligent  and being arrogant.

Now is the time to test their intelligence.
