Name: Mellissande (Melina) Fleur Vanar [Yes, Mellissande is an actual name.]

Age: Twenty (but almost twenty one)

Gender: Female

Appearance:  Melina has long blond hair. Her skin is rather fair. She has big, light  blue eyes and is tall but not unusually tall for her age. With the  exception of her bulging stomach, Melina is a healthy skinny.

Personality:  Melina can be a little shallow at times, and can also be considered  ditzy by someone when they first meet her. However, those who get to  know her will know that Melina is a genuinely caring person (and she's  very maternal). Melina has a habit of bluntly stating things.

History:  Melina grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. She was raised by her  mother, father, and six siblings. Melina was the third child. There was  Madeline (three years older than Melina), then Henri (a year and a half  older than Melina), then Marielle (two years younger than Melina), then  Narcisse (four years younger than Melina), followed by Ranier (six years  younger than Melina) and finally Prunelle (eight years younger than  Melina.) Due to this hectic upbringing, Melina has never had a close  relationship with her parents. She has, however, become adept at taking  care of young ones. As soon as Melina was old enough, she left the Los  Angeles suburb for the big lights and glamor of NYC. She had a fling  with the young man fresh from college that lived in the apartment next  door. Melina found herself pregnant, and the father dumped her.  Madeline, Henri, and Marielle are too busy with college to care about  her issues, and her parents are too busy caring about their other  children to care much about Melina's problems.

Why They Came:  Someone sent Melina a letter claiming to be a distant relative,  offering to help Melina financially, and asking Melina to meet at a  dinner party to discuss how she/he is to help.
