Appearance:  Gwenette is a beauty through and through. She enjoys putting her hair  into exotic styles, although currently she is simply wearing her hair  down straight. Flawless skin that shines like jewels, she's always found  carrying an umbrella to shield herself from the sun's harsh rays.  Fashion wise, Gwenette likes to wear fur coats (she insists they are  fake) with stunningly red dresses to accentuate her features. Her green  eyes sparkle whenever she sings and even though she is small in stature,  her big voice makes men twice her size look puny.

Personality:  Being an opera singer, and a successful one to boot, it would be nearly  impossible for her not to have a bit of an ego problem. In Gwenette's  case, her ego is as big as her voice! She has proven to be equal parts  talented and conniving when she quickly climbed the social ladder to  stardom and took out the competition. Despite all that, she is a  genuinely kind person who harbours many secrets which put unneeded  stress in the poor songstress' life.

Brief Background:  She grew up with her family under the name Kasia Augustyn in Poland,  where she fostered a love of singing at a very young age. Her dreams  would have to be put on hold when her family made a quick move to Italy.  Years later, another unexpected move to France occurred. Fed up with  the constant moving around and the feeling that her father was always  looking behind his back, Kasia confronted her father and learned of  their family's terrible history during the World War II. Disgusted, she  cut all ties to them and changed her name to Gwenette Abernathy, hoping  to put her family's past behind her and begin a life as a star.

Why She Came:  After one of her stunning performances, Gwenette returned to her  dressing room to find an envelope on a table with a bouquet of orchids.  At first dismissing it for some crazed fan's affections, Gwenette didn't  open the letter until much later in the evening when she was alone.  Before she even opened it, she grew cold once she saw who the letter was  addressed to; Kasia Augustyn. Frightened, but insatiably curious,  Gwenette opened the letter and found within a newspaper clipping from  1945 and an address with the words "Dress formal" elegantly written  underneath. Fearing her secret might be revealed and her career ruined,  Gwenette has no choice but to follow the instructions on the letter and  find out what her blackmailer wants with her.
