"Don't cry Eunji-yah. We can find ways to keep in contact," twelve-year-old Jungkook tried to comfort the girl.

"I'm not crying," Eunji quickly blinked back the tears that had formed in her eyes. She didn't want to cry in front of your best friend. But it was hard to, knowing he was moving away. Who knew when she would be able to see him again?

"Well, you look like you're about to. Don't worry, we're still best friends, yeah?" He said, gently patting her shoulder in reassurance.

Friends easily drifted apart and Eunji feared that was what would happen to her and Jungkook. What if he forgot about her? The worst part was that she had a crush on Jungkook. She had been too shy to say anything, but there was no hope in confessing now.

"I know but I'm still going to miss you and your bunny smile," She admitted, looking down on the ground.

In response, Jungkook pulled his friend into a small hug, "Aw, I'm going to miss you too."

She buried her head into his neck, "Just...promise not to forget me, okay?"

He pulled away and looked at her as if she just said the dumbest thing ever.

"Yah Kim Eunji, I don't think I can ever forget you even if I tried," he said in a teasing tone.

Her trembling lips broke into a small smile. Jungkook ruffled her hair, then got up from his bed to get something from his closet. He came out holding a cute light pink colored stuffed bunny.

He placed it in her hands, "Here this is something you can have to remember me by. I know you don't like pink, but that's all they had left."

Eunji felt the tears return as she bit her lip to keep from crying. She wished she wasn't so emotional right now. She needed to be strong.

Jungkook's gaze softened, "Eunji-yah please don't cry."

Her lip trembled but no tears fell thankfully, "I'm not!"

She held up the bunny, admiring it, "I love it Jungkook, no matter the color. I'm going to name it Cooky!"

Jungkook chuckled, "Cute name."

She then felt your phone vibrating, alerting her that her mom wanted her back home.

"I...I have to go now," She looked up at him with a frown.

He nodded understandingly, "I'll be gone tomorrow."

A sniff escaped Eunji, "I know."

Jungkook smiled sadly and pecked your cheek causing you to squeak out of surprise, "Stay strong for me Eunji."

She nodded and share one last hug before she left to go home, never to come to Jungkook's house again.

"Goodbye, Jeon Jungkook."

[Seven Years Later]

Practically all Eunji heard on the news now was about the global k-pop sensation, BTS. Not that it really bothered her. She was delighted to see her childhood best friend following his dream to be an idol. She had secretly supported them since they debuted and was a faithful fan.

They were so young back then. After Jungkook moved, there weren't many ways to keep in contact. But neither one of them forgot each other.

Whenever Eunji was sad, she would hug the bunny Jungkook had given her so long ago. She knew it was silly for a young adult to carry around some old stuffed animal. But she had grown attached to the plush bunny as a reminder of her dear friend. She brought it wherever she went, keeping it in her bag.
