Love You Til' the End

 "I'm so sorry that I have to say this but..." the doctor looked down on her clipboard with an expression full of remorse. "Given your stage four of brain cancer, I can only say you'll live to the very least of next year."

A look of painful dismay broke on her fiance's face. But Eunji's smile didn't leave, only she squeezed Jungkook's hand.

"I should also mention that with your pregnancy, there could be more complications," the doctor continued, her news not seeming to get any better. "But if you consider-"

"It's alright. I'm keeping this child no matter what," Eunji cut through, self consciously placing her hand on her baby bump.

The doctor sighed and put her clipboard on the table beside her, "You're strong for what you're dealing with. I'm truly sorry that there isn't anything else we can do."

"No, thank you for informing us, Doctor. We'll be leaving now," Eunji said, standing up in her seat.

Jungkook and Eunji checked out of the doctor's office, and silently walked outside to their car.

"Jungkook-ah?" Eunji said his name, as he sat in the car staring at the steering wheel so hard that he would have burned a hole through it.

Jungkook let out a shaky breath, trying to hold in his tears, "You can't...you can't leave Eunji. I...I won't let you-"

He was cut off by her warm embrace. Tears began to fall, as he sobbed into her chest. The thought of losing someone who meant the world to him, he couldn't handle it.

"It's okay Jungkook-ah," Eunji said, struggling to keep her voice from wobbling. "We'll be okay."

She pulled away to caress his cheek, wiping the hot tears from his eyes with her fingers.

"Let's spend the rest of my time filled with joy, hm? Can you do that for me?" Eunji asked, trying to sound positive.

Jungkook stopped crying and nodded solemnly, pulling Eunji into his arms once more. He would make sure that the woman he loved so much, wouldn't regret a single moment of her life.

"I now pronounce Jeon Jungkook and Jeon Eunji as husband and wife," the pastor proclaimed "May you have great joy for the rest of your lives. You may kiss the bride."

Eunji smiled shyly, meeting eyes with Jungkook who placed his hands on her waist and leaned in to kiss her passionately on the lips. She felt her hands settle on his neck as she kissed back with just as much passion.

Cheers erupted from the quite small crowd. Jungkook and Eunji had decided to have a small, private wedding with only inviting her best friend, his parents and his band members of course. When the newly weds finally parted for air, they joined their friends to celebrate the rest of the night.

There was eating, singing, dancing and laughing. Looking at Jungkook, knowing that he was hers and she was his forever, made her feel secure. Today was probably the best day of Eunji's life.
