Secret Admirer (JK Birthday Special)

"Eunji-yah? Eunji snap out of it!" your best friend Wendy waved her hand in front of your face.

"O-oh sorry," You said, blinking your eyes a bit.

A smirk appears on Wendy's face, "Were you daydreaming about Jungkook Sunbae again?"

"Yah! Stop," You said, your cheeks already flushing pink.

"Why don't you just talk to him already?" Wendy asked. "You've had a crush on him since we were freshman!"

You poked at your rice with your chopsticks, "You know why Wendy."

"Aish you need to stop being so shy," Wendy sighed.

You shook your head, "It's not that easy. Think about it, Jungkook is the school's most popular student. Why would he want to date a nobody like me?"

Wendy smacked your shoulder. "Ow!"

"You need to have more confidence, my friend," Wendy told you. "Hey, I have an idea!"

You gave her a look of curiosity, "Jinja? What is it?"

"If you're too shy to talk to him," Wendy clasped her hands together. "Why don't you write a love letter to him anonymously?"

"That's...actually a good idea," You said slowly, as you processed what Wendy said.

It was perfect! You were way too shy and didn't have any ounce of bravery to go up yourself and get rejected. At least this way, he'd at least know how strongly you felt.

You were a bit embarrassed about your crush on Jungkook. Literally, every other girl in the school fan-girled over him. Unfortunately, you were no different. But he was every girl's dream. Jungkook was charismatic, kind, handsome. He was the school's top athlete and good at everything else.

Although you've only ever sneaked glances at him in class or the halls, from what you observed Jungkook seemed to be a really good guy. Even though he had a lot of friends, he was often shy around people, especially girls. You found him so cute.

"I...I think I'll do that. Thanks, Wendy," You nodded your head.

Wendy smiled, "Good now eat your lunch. Aigoo you need to eat more Eunji-yah! You're so skinny!"

You knew that Jungkook's birthday was this week so decided to give him a letter every day with a present attached to his locker. When you got home, you set everything up after doing your homework. You then woke up early in the morning so you could get to school before everyone else.

"Hey Jungkook what's that on your locker?" Taehyung asked, pointing to the paper and bag taped to his locker.

"I...don't know," Jungkook replied, He took the paper off his locker and hesitantly opened it. Taehyung peeked over Jungkook's shoulder to read it along with him.

Dear Jungkook Sunbae,

Whenever I see you, my heart can't stop fluttering. I really hate how you make me feel this way. I know you have so many fangirls who are dying to be with you. To you, I may seem like one of them and maybe I am in a way. But I don't like you for your popularity or looks. You're kind to others, you work hard and always stay humble. That's something I really admire.

He then opened the small blue bag seeing that there were candies in it.

"Wow Jungkook-ah, it looks like you have a secret admirer!" Taehyung smiled,  excited for his friend.

Jungkook scratched his head. He's never gotten something like this. Whoever wrote this didn't seem to be like all his other fangirls who mobbed him whenever he was seen at school. This person's words seemed more sincere.
