Purpose

Today was one of your off days. For some stupid reason, your depression tried to kick in at its worse today. You hated yourself for being so weak. Everything that bothered you seemed to just tumble down.

Feeling like I'm breathing my last breath

Feeling like I'm walking my last steps

Look at all of these tears I've wept

Look at all the promises that I've kept

You tried to hide your emotions in front of Jungkook. But he saw right through you. He stopped what he was doing and lightly caressed your hand.

"Everything okay, Jagi?" He asked sweetly.

You plastered a fake smile on your face and simply nodded. Jungkook frowned, knowing that you were lying. He gently lifted your chin with his index finger, causing you to look directly at him.

"What's wrong?"

I put my all into your hands

Here's my soul to keep

I let you in with all that I can

You're not hard to reach

You let out a shaky breath as you tried to hold back the tears that were threatening to come out any second now. You hated that you were so sensitive. You hated that you couldn't just be normal. So Jungkook wouldn't always have to worry about you like this.

"I...I don't know. I guess I'm just feeling...a bit sad," You slowly admitted, looking into your boyfriend's beautiful deep brown eyes.

Jungkook pressed a kiss against your forehead, causing you to blush. "Waeyo? Why do you feel sad?"

You thought about his question for a moment. You squeezed his hand a little tighter.

"I just feel as if I'm not good enough for you...and that I do nothing but worry you," You said, your voice wobbled and your fingers began to tremble.

Jungkook hated seeing you so frustrated with yourself. Ever since you finally opened up to him about your depression, he was determined to make you happy. Because in his eyes, you were the most selfless, kind and beautiful person he's ever known. It broke his heart to hear that you didn't see that.

"Jagiya, I understand how you're feeling. But you should know that I'm right here. If I didn't love you as much as I do, I would've left already," Jungkook said softly, as he brushes your hair behind your ear.

He thought about all the times you've helped him. You had always been there when he was sad, angry or afraid. You always told him that he had a purpose for the world. He wanted to make sure that you know that you have a purpose as well.

Yeah, you've given me purpose

"(Y/n), I'm not going anywhere. You should have more confidence in yourself. Because even though you feel lost and feel like you do nothing," He continued. "You've done so much for me. You've given me purpose. To love. To be myself."

You let his words sink into your brain. It felt somewhat comforting listening to him. A single tear finally escapes and slips past your eyelash and falls down your cheek.

Oh, you are my everything

Jungkook kissed your tears away and whispered in your ear, "You're everything to me Jagiya. Don't ever forget that because I love you."

You can't be hard on yourself for it, these are the cards you were given so you have to understand that's not who you are. You know you're trying to be the best you can be, but that's all you can do. If you don't give it all you got, you're only cheating yourself give it all you got but if it ends up happening, it ends up happening
