I'm Not Going Anywhere

She tried to stop her hand from trembling as she punched in the passcode to her apartment. She was always shaky when she was angry.

"Jagiya!" She heard Jungkook's cute voice call out to her. But Eunji was too mentally exhausted to respond.

Jungkook's smile dropped when he saw the drained expression on his girlfriend's face. Before he could ask what was wrong, she walked past him and locked herself in the bedroom without saying anything to him.

The boy wondered what could've made Eunji so upset. Usually she was so excited to see Jungkook, since they barely saw each other in the first place. Jungkook worried that he might've done something to upset her, but he couldn't remember doing anything worth her being mad.

He knew that she went to visit her parents today. Maybe something happened there, Jungkook figured. He knew that Eunji's mother was very critical of her. Jungkook began to feel nervous so he walked up to the bedroom door.

"Jagi?" He called out gently. No response.

All Jungkook could hear were her sniffles and sobs on the other side. Jungkook knew that Eunji didn't like it when he saw her cry. He didn't bother too much about it, but Jungkook secretly wished that Eunji wouldn't be afraid to express her emotions around him.

Jungkook hesitantly asked, "Eunji-yah, are you okay?"

Eunji sniffed and shifted a glance to the door. She was currently hugging her knees and sitting on the floor against the door. She didn't say anything. New tears of both frustration and guilt streamed down her cheeks. Everything else that had been stressing her out over the past week just came crashing down and Eunji was overwhelmed. She didn't want Jungkook to see her like this so she just continued to cry silently.

Jungkook never liked it when people he cared about were in pain. All he wanted to do right now was to cuddle Eunji in his arms. But he wanted to respect her so he quietly sat down on the other side of the door and listened to her soft cries.

"I'm not going to force you to open the door or talk about what is making you so upset," Jungkook spoke quietly.

"Just know that I'm here, okay?" Jungkook said softly. "I'm not going anywhere."

That sentence alone was able to make Eunji feel a tiny bit better.
