"Ah," Jungkook couldn't help but hiss as Eunji applied the ointment on his cut.
Eunji frowned but continued her actions as gently as she could, "Mianhae, but it's supposed to help."
"I'm fine Eunji. You're really good at taking care of people, did you know that?" He remarked, his eyes catching hers. Her cheeks blushed a rosy pink which he thought was the cutest thing ever.
"Seriously though Eunji, where did you learn to fight like that?" Jungkook asked, wanting to know the answer.
Eunji's gaze dropped and she hesitated before saying, "I...I took taekwondo lessons a while back."
"Jinja?" Jungkook said in surprise. "But you have the skills, so why don't you fight back at school or to Mr. G- I mean your stepdad?"
Eunji put the ointment down and began bandaging the wound, "I don't see the point in fighting back. All the results would end up turning back to me. Plus I'd rather be the better person."
Jungkook's eyes filled with sympathy for this girl. Eunji really was a good person inside and out. The regret of his first thoughts on her stung his heart. He couldn't help but stare at her in awe as she focused diligently on taking care of his cut.
"Yah, don't go pitying me again Jungkook," Eunji said, not taking her away from her concentration. She would make a great doctor.
Jungkook slightly lifted her chin with his fingers, "Ani, I was just thinking about how strong you are to go through all that yourself."
She blushed and went back to cleaning the wound. Ever since Jungkook had confessed to her, she felt like she was falling for him more and more as the days went by. It was surprising to her because she didn't believe she could feel so deeply about another person.
"Oh my gosh, what the heck happened?" Jin's eomma voice came out.
The two's heads fly up to see that the guys have come back. Eunji exchanged glances with Jungkook, not really knowing what to say.
"We were just attacked by...some people," Jungkook explained vaguely.
Namjoon raised his eyebrows in suspicion, "Attacked?"
"Um, I'll be right back. I have to go clean up these bandages," Eunji excused herself and left the room.
Once the boys are sure Eunji has left, all heck broke loose.
"Mr. Gong's men were after you, weren't they?" Yoongi demanded.
Jungkook only had to stay silent to confirm it. Yoongi turned around in frustration, running his hands through his hair.
"I think it's too dangerous having Eunji here with us," Hoseok said in a guilty tone. He didn't want to think that because he had been having a lot of fun with Eunji. But when these things happened, they couldn't really trust anyone.
"No it's not!" Jungkook snapped. "We would've been in the same amount of danger without her."
"But what if she was the one to signal the attack?" Jimin asked. Jungkook's eyes filled with anger. How could his hyungs just think such a thought?
"Ani she was shocked just as I was, guys. She doesn't know," Jungkook defended her.
"How can you be so sure Jungkook?" Namjoon asked in a stern tone. "She could've planned it to cover her tracks. You can't let your feelings for her get in the way of the truth."
Now Jungkook was getting mad. He understood why his hyungs were saying, but he knew that they were wrong. Eunji had nothing to do with Mr. Gong. He clenched his fists, "I know it wasn't her. And of all things she shouldn't be trusting us."
