Three Words

His head rested on her lap, as the low sound of the TV played through their ears. As her eyes were focused on the screen, her fingers gently ran through his soft brunette locks. Jungkook closed his eyes, enjoying the pleasurable feeling, and leaned into her touch.

It was one of those nights where both were extremely tired from their day. Jungkook had gotten home late from his schedule and she had been working double shifts today. Despite how much the day has beaten them, they had decided to have a late-night with binge-watching k-dramas instead of going straight to bed. Jungkook wished he could take Eunji on a real date, but it was almost midnight and he couldn't risk being seen by sasaengs. But Eunji wasn't bothered in the slightest. Just spending quality time together in their cozy little apartment, was comforting after a long day. 

Jungkook opened his eyes up slightly, to get a good look of her. She was so cute when she was so concentrated on something. She had tied her long brown hair into a loose ponytail so it wouldn't be in her face. She had washed all her makeup off which wasn't much at all. She had also done her night-time skincare routine, so it looked as if her skin was glowing. Her soft pink lips were slightly parted, as she was concentrated on what was going on on the TV.

As the boy lovingly admired these features of his girlfriend, he couldn't help but realize. He found it funny that he hadn't thought about it until now. It had almost been a year since they've been together, yet Jungkook has never felt this way with a girl before.

"Jagi?" He called her in a low voice, but loud enough to gain her attention.

She took her attention away from the screen to glance down at him. She couldn't help but smile, noting how cute he looked in this position. Though she didn't say anything, she absolutely loved it when he rested on her lap like this. It made her want to take care of him like this forever.

"Hm?"

His doe brown eyes poured into hers, "I love you."

Suddenly her previous thoughts all disappeared, and she found herself blinking a few times. Her fingers stopped stroking through his hair.

"Eo?" She almost stuttered, feeling her cheeks begin to heat up. Did he really just say what she thought she heard?

He smiled at the flustered expression she now had and sat up.

Jungkook brushed a loose hair behind her ear before repeating, "I love you, Kim Eunji."

She didn't know what to think at the moment. It was the first time he had ever said those three words to her, and she hadn't expected them anytime soon. She didn't expect Jungkook to just say this so randomly. He had never told her those words before.

"Jinja?" She asked, almost not believing it. "You really love me?"

Jungkook nodded, trying not to let negative thoughts fill his mind. His heart was beating rapidly now. She had to feel the same way right?

"Ne. I really love you Eunji-yah," he said again, feeling more confident after saying it twice already. Her hand raised to cover her mouth, but there was a glint of exhilaration in her eyes.

Jungkook looked at her nervously, "Ar-aren't you going to say something back?"

"O-oh," She smiled to herself, before meeting his eyes once more. "I love you too, Jungkook-ah."

"Chongmal?" Jungkook asked, just to make sure. She nodded.

Jungkook's smiled, "That's a relief."

She laughed and hide her face in his chest, feeling embarrassed. Jungkook laughed too, finding her reaction cute. He kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arms around her.

"Thank you, for loving me back Jagi," Jungkook said, placing a light kiss on her forehead.

She lifted her head and smiled at him, "Aish you...when did you become so romantic?"

"When I met you," Jungkook said, before leaning in to kiss her slowly.

Both had completely forgotten the movie was on, too preoccupied with loving each other. In moments like these, Jungkook and Eunji just wanted to stay in them forever.
