"Jagi...Jagiya...Princess...Babe," Jungkook whined cutely to his girlfriend.
Eunji sighed in frustration and put down the book she had been reading diligently since yesterday. "Mwo?"
"Let's go play in the snow!" Jungkook said with excitement in his voice.
Eunji glanced over to the window to see the blanket of glistening snow outside. Though it was pretty, she didn't really feel like going outside in the bitter cold today.
Jungkook was already foreshadowing Eunji's response by her uneasy expression.
"Pleaseee," He pouted his lips in a way that he was certain she would fall for.
Of course, Jungkook's cute expression succeeded in swaying Eunji.
"Aish, fine!"
Jungkook clapped in excitement, "Yes! Let's go!"
He kissed her on the cheek and walked into the hallway to put on his winter clothes.
Eunji hesitantly pulled herself up from the sofa and followed behind to slip on her gray coat, covering her neck with the pale blue infinity scarf that her mom gave to her on Christmas, and topping it off with a knitted white hat and her black snow boots.
"You look cute," Jungkook commented, seeing her all bundled up when she walked out the front door to see him already outside. In response, she blushed and playfully pushed his shoulder.
He reached his hand out for her to take, which she gladly accepted. From there, Jungkook led her into the soft white snow. Jungkook let go of her hand and ran in circles on the ground, leaving his sunken footprints in the snow. From a distance, someone might have mistaken him for a child.
Meanwhile, Eunji felt like she was the mother of that child who was happily playing in the snow. A giggle escaped her mouth when she saw the 22-year-old man drop down into the snow and begin making a snow angel.
"Come make a snow angel with me, Jagi!" Jungkook called for her.
Not wanting to argue, Eunji reluctantly trudged over to Jungkook. She closed her eyes and dropped down beside him and began to spread her arms and legs to form a snow angel too. When she decided she was satisfied with the human-sized imprint in the snow, Eunji stood up and dusted the snow off her pants.
As soon as she looked up, a round cluster of powdery snow crashed on her shoulder. She could see Jungkook's mischievous smile out of the corner of her eye.
Slightly gritting her teeth, "Jeon Jungkook you didn't dare..."
"But I do dare. What are you gonna do now Kim Eunji?" Jungkook teased, anticipating Eunji's reaction.
Aish this goofball. Deciding to not answer, Eunji took her chance and threw her own ball of snow towards the boy, perfectly hitting his chest. Eunji laughed with both success and seeing Jungkook's surprised reaction.
Already gathering up more snow Jungkook's feeling of mischief increased.
"Oh, I'm really going to get you now Jagiya!"
The next hour or so was filled with laughter as the two took turns chasing each other with the snowballs they made and hitting each other with them.
"Okay, okay you win!" Eunji said in defeat, breathing heavily. There was no point in trying to outdo him, who was ultra-competitive.
"Told you, I would," Jungkook said triumphantly.
Once Eunji had stopped running, a wave of cold washed over her. She shivered and hugged her arms.
"It's too cold. Can we go back inside now, Kookie?" Eunji asked, showing her puppy eyes.
Jungkook sighed, still wanting to play. But he didn't like seeing his Eunji cold.
"Okay let's go back," Jungkook nodded. Eunji smiled with relief and the two walk back home, hand in hand.
When they returned home, Eunji made some hot cocoa and from there they snuggled up on their sofa.
"Are you warmer now?" Jungkook asked, wrapping his arm around her.
She nodded, "Ne. What about you?"
"Eh I'm good," Jungkook shrugged. "But my lips are cold."
Eunji raised her eyebrow, "Hm?"
He pointed to his lips, "Can you warm them up for me?"
She blinked twice before letting a giggle escape from her mouth.
"Wh-what?" Jungkook asks, trying not to laugh too.
"Aw, Kookie you're so cute!" Eunji said, patting his head as if he was a dog.
Jungkook pouted, upset that Eunji was teasing him. His cheeks were tinted pink, feeling flustered now.
"If you wanted a kiss, you could've just asked Jungkookie," Eunji teased and ruffled his hair.
Before Jungkook could utter his response, Eunji leaned in to kiss his soft lips. Jungkook was quick to kiss back, melting into it. When the kiss broke, Eunji frowned in disappointment.
"What is it?" Jungkook asked, feeling a bit anxious.
Eunji's frown remained, "Your lips are warm, you liar!"
Jungkook laughed, "Mianhae. I'll make it up to you."
"How-"
He pulled her in for another sweet kiss which quickly turned into a mini make-out session. But it wasn't one of those intense and heated ones. More so of just enjoying each other's soothing and gentle touch that made their hearts tingle with joy.
Sometimes a kiss was the perfect ending.
