jimin woke up to the day he's been dreading, jungkook informed him a couple weeks ago that he would be in a meeting.
of course jungkook told him that it was going to be a few minutes to reassure him that he wouldn't be gone for too long, but of course they're meetings, they're long.
he pouted and shuffled out of bed and ran to the kitchen. it wasn't too late so he wasn't hungry, usually both of them would eat around ten, but it was currently eight so he'll just eat later.
he looked around for something, but eventually gave up when he couldn't find what he wanted. the cat hybrid was about to go to the living room but before he could go, a small letter caught his eye. with a bit of strength he hoped on the counter and read the letter
it was from jungkook.
'jiminie! good morning! i hope you rested well. i won't be gone for too long so i'm not sure if you want to eat or not, but if you do, go ahead. i'll be home soon! love you! xoxo

the little hummed and hopped off the counter going to the living room. he was bored already.
jungkook wasn't there to hang out with, to play with, to eat with, to talk to, nothing.
he hasn't really realized how much time he really spent with jungkook, but he was nice to be around. he wasn't going to lie, he wanted attention, he was bored out of his mind. even though he just woke up he wanted jungkook right next to him. he wanted to cuddle and talk with him.
jiminie: kookiee
jiminie: pwaeseee :((
jimine: want daddy :(
jimine: pwease come home
jungkook: ah i really wish i could, darling
jungkook: are you okay?
jiminie: no :((
jungkook: what happened? are you alright?
jimine: 'm okay
jungkook: but— okay well give me ten minutes, i'll try and talk them into letting me go a little bit earlier, okay?
jimin: mm ok love youuu!!
jungkook: love you too bubba
he put down the phone and let out a sigh, he was know reassured that'll he will be here soon enough, hopefully.
meanwhile, jungkook was still in the meeting, barley keeping his eyes open. he had to wake up so early to get here. he always felt so bad for leaving the boy even though most of the time he would be sleeping. the times that he did wake up, jimin would cry and jungkook would have to reassure and comfort him that he'll be home soon. sure he'll be a bit late when that happened, but what was else was he suppose to do? he surely just wasn't going to leave him crying by himself and leave.
that's terrible.
they were soon going to have a small break in a few minutes, it won't be long though, just five minutes or so. he was pretty anxious and a bit frustrated, he had no idea what was going on at home. jungkook has never really asked if he could leave early, hes never heard anyone ask that actually. jimin was usually okay with staying home for a while, it's not like he had a meeting everyday— to be honest really he probably only goes to two meetings twice a month but most of them haven't been this long.
there was so many thoughts floating in his head: was jimin okay? he has to be fine, you're just over reacting.
he kept on reassuring himself it would all be fine and once he was home he would see the boy drawing or even watching a movie!
he didn't even realize that they're break was now starting, he's been so caught up in his thoughts
he got out of his seat and made his way to the the head person that was holding the meeting.
"hello sir, i- um i was wondering if you could let me out early beca—"
"is it an emergency?" he interrupted
jungkook furrowed his eyebrows and looked down to think of something quick "well you see i—"
"it doesn't really sound like one, jeon. i'm afraid you'll have to stay for the rest of the time" he playfully pouted trying to sound like the victim.
what in the world? he didn't even let me finish
"could i ask you one more question?" jungkook asked
"that was a question, but sure. make it quick you have a minute" he replied back and looked at his watch.
"how much longer? i have someone really important at home waiting for me" he said, whispering the last part
the way older male hummed and looked at his watch once again and then stared back at the doe eyes boy "maybe two hours or so.." he simply replied and left going back to the long table and stood right in-front to get everyone's attention.
two hours.
he's already been there for an hour already. jungkook has been bored out of his mind for an hour and now he has to spend two more hours? that's impossible.

while jungkook was at his boring meeting, jimin knew that he was trying his best to home home quick so he didn't worry much. it would be nice if he came though.
he actually kept himself busy while watching a movie, of course that was before he started crying. he cried for several reasons, one: jungkook wasn't with him, of course, two: he missed jungkook, three: he wanted jungkook.
oh, well maybe he did miss jungkook, just a tad bit.
but he was able to calm him down with his pacifier and him repeating this one video of jungkook waving at him. it was adorable he loved it, it never failed to make him happy.

soon enough he heard the door open and his cat ears perked up and he turned around to see jungkook with a big grin on his face.
"daddy!" he gasped and ran up to him and give him a big hug. "missed chu! very very much!"
"i missed you too, sweetheart. i'm so sorry i didn't get here sooner, they wouldn't let me" he sighed and hugged the boy tighter.
"'s okay! daddy's here now an' that's all that matters!"
