Looking at you is like looking into a telescope, where I could see stars up in the sky and moon shining bright, replacing the sun in the emptyness of the night.
But then if I do, I'll be reminded that it's too far away.
Looking into the telescope means that I can't touch it, never mind having it in the first place. Looking at you, without help of any technological devices could be dangerous.
Because when I look at you, I can't shy away. Because when I look at you, with these normal miopic eyes, all I can see is that it's beautiful, in its own complexities and I'd fall in love with it.
So, I'll avoid eye contact, in a sense that doing it would save me, for I am loving something that I can't reach, never mind having it.
Because I'd be drowning in your love,
that I adumbrate, in my dreams,
and I'm addicted to it.
