Chapter: 2 Epi: 9

"Why did this have to happen. Can't one day just go my way. A nice day for all of us, For Appa"

Before I could fully blink, a gust of wind picked up around me, causing me to shield my eyes from the heavy blast. Aang looks very angry and I'm too scared to approach him. He came towards Toph and I boldly.

"How could you let them take Appa. Why didn't you stop them!" He yells at her.

"I couldn't! The library was sinking and you guys where still inside an-"

"You could have come to get us! I could have saved him!" He explains.

"I can hardly feel any vibration out here. The sand benders snuck upon me and there wasn't time t-" Toph keeps trying to explain.

"You just didn't care! You never liked Appa! You wanted him gone!" Aang yells again causing me to worry .

Katara approaches us in an attempt at peace making, and places an arm on Aang's left shoulder "Aang stop it, you know Toph did all she could, she saved our lives"

"Who's going to save our lives now? We'll never make it out here" Sokka says looking at the distance. 

"That's all you guys care about, yourselves! You don't care whether Appa's okay or not." He says but I pay no mind to him as I try and concentrate, hoping to catch unto Appa's growls, but at-last, nothing. 

"We're all concerned but we can't afford to be fighting now" Katara says as I look back at them all. 

"I'm sorry, with all the wind of sand and faint wood, I can't hear him, he's too far by now." I say trying to soften the blow for Aang but he just scoffs at me, opening his glider.

"I'm going after Appa" Not much words said after that as he took off, while I stared into space before looking back at the others.

"Aang wait! We better start walking. We're the only people who know about the solar eclipse. We have to get the information to Ba-Sing-Sei" Katara sighs grabbing my hand, and I hold Toph's, for securing.

"You think if we dig out the giant owl he'll give us a ride?" Sokka asks as we resumed our little walk.

"No!" I groan out.

Katara lead the rest of us, through the Dunes while Aang is going on his long search for the lovable-fluffy boy. I keep seeing small plants that look funny so i hold unto Katara's hand for reassurance and stability...and cause for some odd reason, I like the feel of her hand in mine.

"You okay, Zomi?" She asks as I shake my head 'no'

"It's going to be okay" I close my eyes taking in her words before nodding my head at her smiling. As we continue I look back to see Sokka bumping into Toph.

"Can't you watch where your go-"

"No!"

"Right, Sorry"

"Come on guys, we've got to stick together" Katara says from my side.

"If I sweat anymore I don't think sticking together will be a problem" Sokka says trying to pull himself from Toph, out of annoyance she knocks him down disconnecting them

"Katara, can I have some water" I finally speak, my voice coming out raspy.

"Sure flower, but we've got to try and conserve it" She bends some of the water into three droplets making them land in our mouths. Sokka on the other hand isn't satisfied with the taste.
