Jorge knew he had messed up. He had sleepless nights thinking about it ever since it had started, but that didn't give Logan the right to discredit their friendship. He loved him like a brother, and he knew it.

He would do anything to protect his friendship with Logan just as much as he would do anything to protect his sister, he just got caught in both situations this time.

He wished things had never gotten this far, he should never have let it get this far. He had been trying by all means to keep MJ and Logan oceans apart, and it had worked for the longest time until now.

There was a lot going on in his life, and he did not know where he stood.

He was still waiting for his girlfriend to get back to him regarding his proposal. He cringed at the thought, that was not exactly a proposal, it was an ambush. Now he wished he could call her and tell her he did not want to know anything about his sister, he just wants to spend his entire life with her.

He missed her. It had been months since they had a peaceful get-together, the longest in all the years they have known each other. He did not know where their relationship took a wrong turn, but all he knew was that he loved her.

He loved his sister too. But whenever she was around, bad things happened. He hated thinking about this, but his father always mentioned that she was a curse, maybe he was right. He spent all these years trying to understand her, trying to make peace with her; he spent his entire life doing his best to teach her the difference between right and wrong, but she was almost thirty, and nothing had changed.

Sometimes he got a weird vibe from both Logan and MJ, like they were both using him. He was caught up in a war zone and had no way out, because he cared for them both. He never imagined the love of his life would also be involved, now things were even worse because Esperanza was aware of her.

He groaned in frustration, wishing he could cut his stomach open and remove the butterflies swirling at the bottom.

He had landed in Cape Town about a few hours ago and was receiving calls from everywhere, perks of not having a PA. Since MJ was back in business now, he was forwarding most of the business calls to her, especially anything that had to do with McEnroe Construction Company. It was as if that boy did not know what he wanted.

Jorge was done running after them. He had a major divorce case to focus on, the Khumalos and Davids were heading for war over their children's separation and they were prepared to put their company in jeopardy just to prove a point. However, it seemed, the couple had another thought in mind.

"So, you guys want me to convince your parents that staying merged is the best decision?" He asked his two guests.

They were currently outside his beach house, they ambushed him just when he was coming back from his jog along the beach. They were now walking back to the house.

S’negugu nodded eagerly, looking exhausted. "I don't want to wedge an endless war. I just wanna end this whole thing peacefully."

"Me too," Kyle agreed.

Jorge could not believe they were all here because of his sister, would she ever stop causing problems and ruining people's lives? "Listen, guys, I'm so sorry about all this. I know we wouldn't be in this situation if it was not for MJ."

The couple shared a brief look, and Jorge narrowed his eyes at them, what were they hiding?

Kyle shrugged. "What is done is done. So, what's next?"

The change of topic baffled Jorge. "Set up a meeting between both the families tomorrow. The earlier we get this under control, the better," he said. "The media will be on you guys again, so, be careful of everything you do from now on."

"At what time are we meeting?" Sne asked.

"At 12p.m. sharp at your place."

Kyle scratched his head awkwardly. "Actually, uhm...we don't stay under the same roof anymore."

"Oh!"

"We can meet at the office," Sne suggested, and they both agreed. "We'll see you tomorrow, Jorge."

"Sure thing!" He said before jogging back into the house. Not even ten minutes later, there was a knock at the door.
