MJ was restless. She had been feeling anxious all day, and she was barely coping without her medication.

Even after promising herself that she would never go back to Blair for some time, it was not a surprise when she barged into her house the next day.

"May Jeanette, everything okay? What are you doing here?" Blair asked as MJ walked past her into her lounge.

She dropped her back on the couch and turned to face a shocked Blair. "This is not working!" She said in frustration.

Blair quickly closed the door and closed her gown before striding farther into the room. "What is not working, what are you talking about?"

MJ's hands were shaking uncontrollably and she was feeling hot. "I need something to help me," she said desperately.

Blair shook her head knowingly. "No."

She threw her hands in the air. "What is wrong with you? Can't you see I'm not coping? I'm not okay!" She yelled, breathing heavily.

"Okay, calm down and tell me what happened?" MJ sat down and buried her head in her hands. "MJ, what happened?"

"I don't know, I don't know! I've just been feeling anxious lately and I don't know what to do."

"When did this start?" Blair asked, handing her a glass of water.

"Since... Logan called me yesterday while I was at work." She did not want Blair to dig deeper, she was not here for a session today.

"Oh?"

"He said he wanted to talk."

"And you are not ready." MJ nodded. "When was the last time you spoke to him before this call?"

She cringed when she thought of his last visit. "Last week. He came by the office to drop off my watch. I had left it on his yatch."

Blair sat down and crossed her legs, and MJ silently prayed that she did not ask what they were talking about. There was a lot of issues surrounding her relationship with Logan, that Blair was still not aware of.

"MJ, what is really bothering you?"

She took in a deep breath, her chest shaking in anticipation as her mind started creating a lot of scenarios. "The fear of having to tell him the entire truth," she admitted.

The surprise in Blair's eyes said it all. She knew the severity of her past and how Logan fitted into the puzzle. "Wow! That is..." The woman was clearly having a hard time believing MJ's decision to finally have a serious talk with Logan. "Are you scared of how he's going to look at you?"

MJ shook her head morosely. "I'm scared of how I'm going to feel after that." She had been obsessing over this the entire night. Another confrontation with Logan Parker would only open old wounds, and she was not prepared for all that talk.

"MJ, you do know that you can't let your past define your present and future, right?" Blair spoke after much deliberation. "I know it's been a tough road getting here, but you have grown stronger than your pain and suffering."

MJ gave a sad smile; Blair did not understand. All she needed to break her down was her past. She was not stronger than her pain and she had absolutely not outgrown the monsters in her closet.

"Are you going to prescribe me new medicine or not?" She asked with a brittle smile.

Blair shook her head, an apologetic smile on her face. "I'm sorry, but I can't–" Her phone blared, and she quickly fished it out of her pocket. "I have to take this," she said before disappearing into her office.

MJ sighed and started rubbing her arm slowly, trying to stay calm, but it was not working. It was as if there was something sitting in her chest, and no matter what she did, it did not go away.

She hated feeling this way. It always stood in the way of her work, she barely got anything done since she left work yesterday. Blair had to prescribe her something to keep her calm.

Blair returned after a few minutes, and the look on her face made MJ's heart harden. "Blair, what's going on?" She asked anxiously.

The therapist fidgeted with the phone in her hands, her eyes unfocused as she looked at MJ. "I am sorry," she said.

MJ frowned. "Sorry, what are you talking about?"

"That was Cameron on the phone." MJ's heart fluttered and she smiled slightly. She had been waiting to hear about him for some time, and was finally glad that he was okay. She was in relief that there was at least some good news, but she celebrated too soon, because what Blair said next, sent her world into a spiral. "MJ, Jorge has been shot."
