Pete walks over to a dead body and pokes it with his rifle. Pete turns his head while sighing.
Pete: Fulla holes.
He looks back at the body.
Clem: Who do you think did this?
Pete: Not sure yet. But it ain't your average gang'a thugs, that much I know.
Nick: Think about it. You're Carver, what do you do?
You're right knee bone shakes.
Clem: Who's Carver?
Pete and Nick look at each other. Nick looks at you and Clem, but Pete looks to his left.
Pete: Check those guys there.
Nick and Pete walk away from the group, towards the bodies.
Pete: Be careful. Some of 'em might still be movin'.
Clem looks at you.
Clem: Did your knee bone shake?
You nod.
You: Yeah... Something isn't right.
Clem: What do you mean?
You: They're hiding something.
You and Clem look at Pete and Nick.
Clem: What do you think it is?
You: Something about "Carver." Just doesn't feel right.
You look at the sandbar. You notice a few bodies.
Clem: There're more out there!
You look at Pete who's crouches down.
Pete: This wasn't no rinky-dink pissin' match.
Pete stands up.
Nick: What was it then?
Pete: FUBAR.
Pete walks towards a few rocks.
Nick: Where are you going?!
Pete turns around.
Nick: We need to get the fuck outta here!
Pete: Gotta check the rest. He says turning around.
Nick: What?! Why?!
Pete: Calm down and think about it, son. He says wading across the river.
Nick: Calm down?! We've gotta get out of here, now.
Pete makes it to the sandbar and turns around.
Pete: Jesus Christ, get ahold of yourself.
You: What if someone's alive, Nick?
Nick: Who cares?!
Pete: 'Cause they might just be inclined to tell us who did this. We gotta do this now. Stay here. Keep searchin' these.
You turn to Clem.
You: I'll go check the sandbar. You wanna stay here?
Clem: Sure.
You jump on a rock that's in the middle of the river, then you jump to the sandbar.
Pete talks to Nick.
Pete: Stay here. Keep searchin' these.
Nick: This is a dumb idea.
Pete: You know, Nick, I don't like this either...
