Chapter 136: Ungrateful

You all approach the school. Mitch is at the guard tower. He gets down and opens the gate for you. You all walk inside. Ruby looks at you.

Ruby: Took y'all a while.

Louis: "How poor are they that have not patience!" He says as all set the bags down onto a picnic table.

You open the bags to reveal all the jars of food.

Willy runs up to you and sees the food. He turns around.

Willy: Aasim! Mitch! Check it out! Food!

Aasim and Mitch approach.

Mitch: That's, like, a lot of food.

Louis: Observant as ever, Mitch.

Aasim: I can't believe this. Look at it.

Willy looks at you and Clem.

Willy: You're our saviors, Clem and Y/N.

Mitch: Like, seriously. It's a lot.

You: Louis and Violet helped, too.

Aasim: Neither of them ever brought back this much before.

Brody approaches.

Brody: Where did you find all this?

Louis: The old train station. Clem and Y/N knew where it was.

Brody: Train station...that's outside the safe zone.

Violet: We'd have even more... But we ran into the creep that fucked up our fish traps.

Louis: Clem and Y/N saw him smoking those nasty-ass Bible cigarettes.

Clem: He had weird different-colored eyes.

Brody looks at the gate, then back at you.

Brody: Did he follow you?

You: Nope, I shoved him into a pack of walkers. They took a chunk out of him.

AJ: It was awesome.

You: Look, I don't know if he got out of there, but if he did, he won't make it for long.

Brody: You attacked him?! What the fuck?! If he survived, you know he's coming back for revenge.

Most people start to disperse.

Brody: What the hell were you thinking? This is fucked. How could you be so stupid?! She says, tapping you on the chest.

Clem: Wanna try stepping back, Brody? I'd recommend it.

Brody: I'd recommend you getting your head out of your ass before we're all dead!

You: If I hadn't done what I did, he would have shot us. I made the right call.
