Chapter 170: Civilian

Louis' POV
It's been a few days since the Delta. You and Aasim are walking through the woods to hunt and fish. Due to Violet's injury, she isn't able to fish.

Louis: Dude, this is totally lame.

Aasim: Well, Violet can't do shit right now, so WE have to do it.

Louis: That doesn't bother you?!

Aasim: Of course it does. But if we wanna stay alive, then we have to do both. Now stop complaining, and let's go.

You both eventually walk by the bridge. You both stop walking. It's still on fire somehow.

Louis: ...Clem told me that if we find his body, we should bring it back...to bury him.

Aasim sighs.

Aasim: That guy was a cool dude.

You spot something on the shore.

Aasim: He was always calm when people would get into arguments.

Louis: Aasim.

Aasim: One hell of a hunter too.

Louis: Aasim!

Aasim: What?

He spots what you spot.

Aasim: Oh...

You both walk over to it. You make it to the shore and you see him... Y/N. He's not a walker though. He's just lying there.

Louis: We should get something to put him in.

Aasim nods.

Aasim: Yeah...

You're about to turn away, but Aasim grabs your arm.

Aasim: Wait!

Louis: What?

Aasim leans in closer to him.

Louis: What?

Aasim: He's...breathing.

You go wide eyed.

Louis: That's impossible! Clem said he was bit!

Aasim: Listen.

You lean in. He's not lying. Y/N's breathing. It's very raspy though.

He's alive.

You both lean back in shock.

Aasim: We...we need to get him back!

You spot a wheelbarrow.

Louis: There!

You run over to it. You grab it and you push it over to Aasim.

Louis: Get him in!

Aasim lifts Y/N up bridal style and places him inside the wheelbarrow.

Louis starts pushing the wheelbarrow away from the bridge. Him and Aasim both run away from the scene.

Clem and AJ walk in their room. Clem climbs in her bed. It feels strange not having Y/N spoon with her. She starts to cry.

AJ takes note of this. He walks over to his desk and sits down in the chair. AJ looks at the drawings hung on the wall. He sees the one Tenn made with the place people go when they die. AJ becomes sad.

Y/N slowly opens his eyes to see him moving at a swift pace. He see Aasim fighting off walkers next him as Aasim runs.

Y/N looks up and sees Louis pushing him.

He slowly closes his eyes and goes back into unconsciousness.

AJ pulls out one of the drawers and spots a few folded pieces of paper. He picks up the pieces of paper and stands up. He walks over to Clem, who's still lied down, facing the wall.

Clem looks behind her to see AJ with the pieces of paper. She sits up and turns to AJ. AJ hands Clem a specific note. She looks at it and it says "Clem". She unfolds the piece of paper and starts reading.

Y/N is now surrounded by walkers that are just tearing into him. He punches them all off and stands up. He holds his intestines that now dangle out of his stomach. He starts running in a dark void.

The wheelbarrow's tire breaks. Louis lets go of the handles and he picks Y/N up. He carries him over his shoulders and starts running with Aasim.

Clem's now standing up, reading the note. She eventually falls to her knees and starts sobbing.

Y/N runs to a part of the void and sees a silhouette. He walks closer to the silhouette. The silhouette slowly turns around. It's someone that sends chills down Y/N's spine.

Louis and Aasim approach the school.

Willy shouts, causing Clem to stop sobbing and look behind her. She stands up and runs out the door. AJ just stays in the room, shocked.

The silhouette is Y/N, but with an evil and demonic smile. He lunges at Y/N and Y/N tries to fight him off.

Clem runs up to Willy, who's by the guard tower. She asks Willy something with urgency and Willy points to his right. Clem nods and runs off.

She makes it inside one of the many buildings. She sweeps every room to see where they put Y/N, opening door, after door, after door.

She makes it to a room that seems to be a nursery and she sees Y/N having a seizure on a medical bed next to Ruby. Clem tries to run up to him, but Louis and Violet restrain her. She struggles to get out of their grasp with tears in her eyes.

Y/N is rolling around with himself, the evil version of him is trying to kill him. The evil him gets on top of Y/N and starts punching him. Y/N manages to kick him off. They both stand up and they charge at each other.

Y/N's eye is starting to flash from a walker's pale and soulless eye, to a normal shade of Y/C/E. Clem still tries and tries to reach for her boyfriend and help, but to no avail.

Y/N punches the evil him in the face, but the evil version of him grabs ahold of his leg and he sticks his finger into his open wound, causing Y/N to scream in pain. He elbows the evil version of him in the back, causing him to let go. Y/N falls to the ground, and the evil version of him takes that to his advantage by getting on top of him.

Y/N's body arches as if his soul is being stripped from his body. Clementine begs Violet and Louis to let her go with tears in her eyes, but they won't do it. Clem is convinced that Y/N is going to die if she doesn't help him.

The evil version of Y/N takes out the piece of glass from March House streets and tries to drive it into Y/N's neck. Y/N struggles to keep the glass away from his neck, but his evil self is too strong for him to handle. The piece of glass gets closer and closer, until...

*SULK!*

Y/N's body stops seizing and his body goes limp. His eye closes. Clem is convinced that she had just seen Y/N die twice.

Ruby checks Y/N's pulse on his left wrist. She looks at Clem. Clem is dreading the thought of Ruby telling Clem that he's dead...

Ruby: He's okay.
