It's been three years since the Delta. The school's growing a lot. Lee thought that since you lead the school back then, you should still be leading it. So you're the leader of the whole community.
The Foundation's come over to lend a hand with building for a while. You now have a stubble beard and a short haircut.
You're on your bed, looking at your grandmother's ring. Your room looks a whole lot different. There's a big bed for you and Clementine. There's a leather couch and a leather chair next to a built in fireplace. AJ was able to get his own room, due to houses being made.
There's a knock at the door.
You: Who is it?
Louis: It's us.
El: Dude, what the hell is so important that we need to be alone for?
El came with the Foundation. When he found out that you were settled there, he said he'd come right away.
You: Come in.
El and Louis walk in.
Louis: What's up, man?
You: Sit.
El and Louis sit on the couch. You walk over to the chair and you sit down. You all look at each other for a few seconds.
El: Dude, what the hell do you want?
You hold out your grandmother's ring and they both go wide eyed.
Louis: No way.
You nod with a smile.
You: Way.
They both smile.
El stands up.
El: Holy shit! You're gonna propose?!
You whisper: Shh! You say, putting your finger to your lips. She could walk in any second!
El: Right. Sorry. He says, sitting back down.
Louis: When're you gonna do it?
You: Tonight.
Louis: No shit.
You nod.
El: What're you even gonna say, dude?
You shrug your shoulders.
You: I don't know yet.
Louis: Well, you can't really propose if you don't know what to say.
You: I'll figure it out.
El: Well, you better start thinking fast. That sun's not gonna slow down for you.
You: I know.
Louis: Where the hell did you even find a ring?
You: My dad gave it to me--it was my grandmother's. I have my grandfather's, too.
Louis: Hand-me-down rings? Those work pretty well. As long as they look good.
The door opens and you immediately put the rings away. Clementine walks in.
Clem: Hey, guys.
She closes the door.
Clem: What're you guys talkin' about?
Louis: Oh, nothing. Nothing at all.
Clem raises her eyebrow.
Clem: You're sitting in our room...talking about nothing?
