Chapter 111: Loyalty

You make it to the armory to see a teenage girl on a stool cleaning some pistols. She looks up at you.

Girl: Jesus. Y--you're the guy who's cleaning with me?

You: Uh... I guess? Is that a problem?

Girl: N--no! Not at all! Please. Sit.

You walk over to the stool next to hers and you sit down.

You: Anything in particular I have to clean?

Girl: Y--yeah. The rifles.

You raise your eyebrow.

You: ...Are you stuttering?

Girl: No.

You turn to the rifle racks and you pick up an Ak-47.

You: Got a rag?

The girl hands you a rag and you begin.

Clementine's POV
You walk around the town hall. Behind the town hall, there's a small lagoon with people fishing. A woman walks up to you.

Woman: You Clementine?

Clem: That's me.

Woman: I'm Lora.

You shake hands.

Lora: I'm the head of the fishing department. You can find your fishing pole over by that shack. She says, pointing at a fishing shack. If you have any questions, you come to me.

Clem: Thanks, Lora.

You walk over to the shack. You see a fishing pole and a bucket. You grab them and you walk over to a pier. There's worms in a bucket on the pier, so you grab one and you sit down.

You cast your line out. The sun beams down on you. It's a very hot and sunny day.

You feel something tug on your pole. You stand up and you start reeling a fish in. It attempts to get away, but you control it. It gets tired, so you continue reeling it in.

You manage to reel the fish in. You hold it up.

Lora walks over to you.

Lora: Looks like a smallmouth bass. Good job. Once you catch four more, you can call it a day.

Clem: Okay.

You put the fish in your bucket. You cast your line out again.

Your POV
You learned the girls name; Anna. She's very nervous for some reason.

You're cleaning a Henry rifle.

Anna: That's Elric's.

You: Hm?

Anna: That's, uh...Elric's rifle.

You: Uh... Okay?

You continue to clean the rifle.

Anna does a mind facepalm. She must've been trying to start a conversation with you.

Anna: So...

You look at Anna.

Anna: How're you liking the Foundation?

You: Nothing to complain about.

Anna: I bet it's weird seeing Jack after all these years.

You: It is. I barely knew him from my childhood. Always going to a different country every few years.

Anna: He said that you lived in a hospital most of your life.
