Chapter 106: Hey, Brother

You both just stand there in shock. You run up to him and you hug him, causing your hat to fall off. Jack hugs back tightly.

You: I thought you died!

Jack: I thought YOU died!

Clem stands up.

Clem: Wait... This is Jack? As in your BROTHER Jack?

Jack looks at Clem and back at you.

Jack: You gonna introduce me to your friends?

You pull out of the hug. You walk over to Clem and AJ, and you stand next to Clem.

You: Jack, this is Clem. You say, pointing at Clem.

Jack shakes hands with Clementine.

You: She's also my girlfriend.

Jack looks at you shocked.

Clem: It's nice to meet you.

Jack: Really?

You nod.

Jack: Jesus! Never thought I'd see the day! Never considered you a ladies man.

You: Speak for yourself.

He chuckles.

Jack: Touché.

He looks at AJ.

Jack: Who's this little guy?

You: This is AJ.

Jack bends over slightly and holds out his hand, but AJ doesn't know what to do with it. You gently grab AJ by the wrist and you put his hand in Jack's. Jack shakes it.

Jack takes his hand away from AJ's and stands up straight. He looks at you.

Jack: So...I see mom and dad aren't with you...

You look down with a sad expression.

Jack: Damn it... How?

You look up at him.

You: Can we talk about it privately in a bit?

He nods.

Jack: Yeah, sure.

He sighs.

Jack: I suppose we should get you guys settled in.

Clem: We saw the houses. Are we staying in one of those?

Jack: Well, usually I'd put the newcomers in new houses, yes. But I was thinking that you guys could stay here.

You raise your eyebrow.

You: You live here?

Jack: Yeah, it's got a few rooms. You're welcome to stay, if you'd like.

You: Of course we would.

Jack: Great! I'll have your stuff brought to your rooms.

Clem: I have a question.

Jack: Yes?

Clem: Do you guys have hot water?

Jack smirks.

A group of soldiers brought you, Clem, and AJ to a room that has a kid's bed, and a queen's bed. Clem is in the shower right now, while you sit on the bed, and AJ looks at all the decorations.

AJ: This place is cool.

You: It is, isn't it?

He walks over to a bookshelf and looks at one of the books.
