A/N HAHAHA I bet that picture killed you all. I'm so evil. 😈
Alec's POV
"They don't think he's ever going to wake up."
Alec's heart shattered with her words. He didn't say anything. He didn't cry. He just stood there.
Caterina showed him the file she had been reading. She pointed at something on the paper. "As a downworlder, the Angelic power is too much for his body."
"What are his chances?" Alec whispered, keeping his gaze at the floor.
"What?"
"What percent chance of survival does he have?"
Caterina put her hand on Alec's shoulder. "Twenty."
That was the moment the world stopped revolving around the sun. Everything was frozen. Everything around him faded into dust, leaving only him and Magnus. Alec wasn't listening to Caterina.
"No." He mumbled. "No! That can't be right! Do the test again!" He shouted, tears of fear and anger rolling down his face.
"Alec, I'm sorry," Caterina told him. "I know how much he means to you."
After a while, she left him alone with Magnus. She had moved them to a private room. Alec sat next to Magnus.
He couldn't speak. His soul was ripped from his body in the most painful way possible. Magnus is everything to him. He couldn't die. He just couldn't. Alec was crying uncontrollably. He couldn't remember the last time he actually cried like this.
He felt like he was drowning into a world of complete hell and darkness. That's what life without Magnus would be like. Hell.
Magnus's POV
"Oh, come on, Alexander! It will be fun!"
"I'm not so sure about this, Mags."
"Stop being such a chicken! Honestly, Alexander, when was the last time you had some fun?"
"I have fun all the time!" Alec protested. "As long as I'm with you, that is."
Magnus smiled. They stood in front of the world's tallest free-fall drop tower. It was called the Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom. And Magnus couldn't wait to try it out. But Alec didn't look so sure.
"Come on," He pulled on Alec's hand. They were at the front of the line. They had been waiting for what seemed like forever, and Magnus wasn't going to let him chicken out now. Magnus told Alec to sit. He did, and Magnus pulled down his restraints.
"Magnus, I don't want to do this."
"Too late." He smiled, buckling him in. Once he was positive that his boyfriend was secure, he sat down in the seat next to him. The second the ride started to move, Alec freaked out. But not for the reason Magnus thought.
"NO! MAGNUS THERE'S A SPIDER!!! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!!!" He screamed as the ride pulled them higher and higher of the ground, the roller coaster it was attached to zipped past them, people screaming as they zipped around the tracks. Alec was still screaming about the spider. He didn't even notice they almost reached the top. "MAGNUS GET RID OF THE SPIDER!!! PLEASE!!!"
Magnus looked to the sides to make sure the mundanes weren't watching and he simply flicked his fingers, causing the spider to disappear. Alec sighed in relief.
"Thank you, Magnus." And then the ride stopped. They were at the top of the world's tallest drop line. When Alec noticed this, his face paled. Although the Shadowhunter wasn't scared of heights, he was not loving the idea of plummeting to the ground from 415 feet in the air.
"You good, Alexander?" Magnus asked as Alec squeezed his hand like his life depended on it.
"Nope. I can't believe I let you convince me to do..." The rest of his sentence was cut off as they were released from whatever magical mechanical work the ride had. Alec screamed so loud Magnus thought his vocal cords would fall out. Magnus, on the other hand, loved that feeling when your stomach flew up to your throat. The wind rushed through his hair and he laughed as the ride came to a stop at the bottom of the tower. Alec had lost his voice soon afterward. Magnus thought it was kind of funny that the fearless demon-slayer, excluding his fear of spiders, had managed to be more terrified than the mundane seven-year-old sitting next to them.
Alec's voice pulled him out of the memory. He couldn't see anything. He couldn't move. But he could hear Alexander, he could feel his tears dripping onto his face.
"Magnus, I'm so sorry." He whispered, and Magnus wanted nothing more than to open his eyes and comfort the shadowhunter.
What happened? Where were they?
Magnus felt someone pick up his hand and gently holding it between both of theirs.
"Alec, you've been in here since nine o'clock last night. Go take a break. I can watch him."
"I'm not leaving, Isabelle." Alec's broken voice replied.
Magnus's heart shattered into thousands of pieces hearing his voice like that. He would do anything, and he meant anything, to be able to hold the hazel-eyed boy in his arms and tell him everything would be okay.
But he wasn't sure what was going on. He wasn't sure if everything was going to be okay.
Jace's POV
"Alec, come on. He's not waking up. Not any time soon, at least."
"I'm not leaving, Jace. And you can't make me." His parabatai was in so much pain that Jace could barely feel it. Not physical pain, but emotional.
"Well at least eat something," Isabelle said, holding out the sandwich they had brought for him from the cafeteria.
"I'm not hungry."
"Alec, you missed dinner last night, you missed breakfast, and you just missed lunch. You have to eat something or you'll get sick."
"I told you, Isabelle. I'm not hungry."
Isabelle sighed. Jace looked into Alec's eyes, but he couldn't find anything but fear and heartbreak. It hurt seeing him like this. Normally, Alec was hard to read. He kept his emotions tucked away beneath a mask that no one could remove. Or at least until they met Magnus. He could rip that mask off in a matter of seconds just by smiling at him. And now it was like the mask was gone completely, burned somewhere in a fire.
Alec had never looked so...broken. Jace had never felt the feelings going through Alec right now. Not even when they thought Clary had died. And the worst part was that there was nothing he could do. This was one problem he couldn't fix.
Hello. Yeah, so... y'all are going to leave some very interesting comments, I bet. Sorry this was kind of short and pretty darn horrible. I promise it will get better. Sort of... but it might not... actually...
I
Don't
Really
Know.
So... Okay then.

Okay, what do y'all think about that drop ride? It sounds fun to me. I love drop rides. I went on this one in Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, like 3 times at night and once in the day. And y'all, I'm from the south. Like, very very south. And I am not used to cold weather. Where I used to live the weather was mid 70's in the winter and I thought that was cold. But it snows in Tennessee and I froze to death when we went snow tubing but it was so fun I didn't even care. So...
I'm getting off-topic. I tend to get distracted, sorry. Anyway, thanks for reading I can't wait to read the comments. Okay, love y'all, bye.
