Isabelle's POV

Isabelle was a nervous wreck. Jonathan had called her on her cell phone, and told her how he was going to kill everyone she loved. The battle was due in two days, but knowing him, his attack could begin any second.

Simon was always trying to distract her from the fact that everyone was going to die.

"You know, there's still a lot of Marvel movies you haven't seen." He would say. "You haven't even seen the first Iron Man movie!"

"Simon, not right now. I'm busy."

Simon had frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. "It's a really good movie, and you need a break. We are watching it."

So he had dragged her to his apartment, and they had watched the first Iron Man movie with Jordan with pizza, popcorn, and soda.

(A/N: This paragraph contains spoilers for the movie 'Iron Man')The only thing she learned from it was that mundanes suck at finding people who got kidnapped. Tony Stark went missing for three months, and they only found him after he built a giant metal suit and escaped himself. In her opinion, it made no sense. And the fact that he was so careless afterwards, telling everyone that he was Iron Man. She had once asked Simon why Super Man kept his identity a secret, and he had told her it was to protect his friends and family. Iron Man didn't seem to be interested in that, seeing as he destroyed a bunch of stuff wherever he went.

Today, Simon was out with Luke, so she had the whole day to herself. Well, not really. It was more like she had the whole day to try and not get everyone killed. It was a lot of pressure.

Magnus's POV

"We still up for dinner tonight?" Alec asked. His cheeks were so red, Magnus could've sworn he was turning into a tomato. Magnus couldn't help but chuckle. After all of this time together and Alec still blushed like crazy after Magnus kissed him unexpectedly.

"I sure hope so," Magnus replied.

Alec smiled. "Good." He stood up. "I'm going to go train with Jace."

Imogen's POV

She stood in the doorway of one of the many training rooms, watching the two young shadowhunters. It was hard to believe that it was up to these two to save them all.

Although she did admire them, even if she would never say it out loud. The way they fought was quite impressive. Everyone says they are the best Shadowhunters alive today. At first, she did not believe a single word people were saying about them. But then she met Jace.

Even though the pair tended to break the rules quite often, she couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, those people were right. They both had the cold-calm of a soldier when they needed to, both had incredible fighting skills. Alec was like the Michael Phelps of archery. Jace was the  Roger Federer of sword-fighting. Well, maybe they weren't that good. But they had to be pretty darn close.

She watched the two boys as they trained, not taking her eyes off of them.

Alec had his bow, and Jace had a seraph blade. They fought through the simulation like it was nothing more than a summer breeze at the beach on a Sunday morning.

Alec shot an arrow into a drevak demon. It flew right out of the other side of him, piercing the eye of the ravener behind it.

Jace stabbed through a another demon.

She watched until the simulation was complete, which did not take as long as she would have thought.

"What was out time?" Jace asked.
