Note: I have never been to New York, or traveled across France, or been to Idris, (Even though I wish I could go there. Why are fictional places so much cooler than real ones?) so sorry if I get this all completely wrong.

Jace's POV

"Woah! Hold up! We can settle this without fighting!" Alec was yelling.

One of the vampires had tripped a werewolf on the way to the bathroom. And now they were fighting with claws and fangs, right in front of the mundanes.

The mundane security on the plane was already up, their hands on their guns.

The vampire bit down on the werewolf's arm, who decided to change into wolf form.

Before they even knew it, the two downworlders were just a lump of fur and skin, claws and teeth flashing, blood staining the carpet red.

The security just stood there, unsure of what to do. Jace didn't know if they could see what was really happening or not.

"Hey!" Alec continued to yell, his voice sturdy and full of authority. "There are mundanes on here, guys! And not to mention we are thousands of feet in the air!" He stepped closer to them, putting his hand out and grabbing the vampire's shirt collar, pulling him away from the werewolf.

Jace only watched, his left hand gripping his seraph blade. Magnus also stayed put, watching his boyfriend carefully, his hands by his sides, magic flickering at his fingertips. Bob was not paying any attention at all.

They both trusted in Alec's abilities. They had had a talk the other night. They had decided that maybe they had been a little too over-protective of Alec since his resurrection. So far, they had been doing a decent job of it. Alec was a leader. He didn't need others telling him what to do, or jumping in every time he got into a fight. Besides, it was just two downworlders. He could handle that.

Jace watched as Alec scolded the two of them, not hearing what he was saying. He still held the vampire, who's feet were dangling a few inches off of the ground. The werewolf was back in human form, a blanket wrapped around his body, his head lowered, looking at his feet.

It was then that the security guards surged forward, grabbing Alec's arms, forcing him to let go of the vampire, who gracefully tripped when he landed, crashing into the wolf, causing them both to fall to the ground.

Now the guards were yelling at Alec.  Jace rolled his eyes. Mundanes really didn't do anything right.

The vampire and werewolf stumbled to their feet, making their way back to their seats.

Magnus pushed past Jace and Bob, walking up the the guards. He whispered something to them, and they nodded before returning to their seats.

...

Getting off of the plane was a lot easier than getting on. All they had to do was, well, get off. They already had their bags with them. They walked right out of the airport, and onto the busy sidewalk in front of it.

"Okay, it should be about an hour long walk from here to the borders of Idris." Jake, a retired Shadowhunter who worked at State Farm in his free time, told them. He had un-retired when the war started, and was the leader of their little group.

He led them into the woods, claiming it was better that way, and faster. No one complained.

Jace walked next to Alec, who hadn't said a word since they left the airport. Magnus was walking on the other side of him, waving his hand violently to get a spider web off of it. Bob was skipping along behind them.
