Alec's POV
"Please, wake up. Please."
Alec's eyes flew open, and he gasped. It was day time now, and they were back on the beach. He was lying flat on his back in the sand.
"Oh thank the Angel, Alexander. You scared me."
Alec sat up. Magnus wrapped his arms around him, holding him tightly.
"Wh-where's Ellis?" Alec was shivering. For some reason, he was freezing.
"I don't know. He was gone when I woke up."
"Oh,"
"Here, take my jacket," Magnus said, noticing how Alec's teeth were chattering. He slid it off of his shoulders.
"N-no, you keep it," Alec said, leaning against Magnus.
"But..."
"No but's. I'm not letting you freeze to death." Alec pulled the jacket back onto Magnus's shoulders. "Besides, I don't need it."
Magnus sighed in defeat, pulling his jacket so it was around both of them.
"Hello again, my friends." A voice broke the silence. Alec knew that voice all too well. It was the voice that belonged to the reason for all of their problems, the reason they were stuck on this island in the first place.
"Alec! Magnus!" That got their attention. Alec stood up quickly, whirling around.
"Madzie!" He scooped her up in his arms, checking for any signs of injury. "Madzie, thank the Angel you're okay."
"She's useless to me now that the two of you are here," Jonathan continued, carelessly picking at his fingernails with a blade. "I figured I'd just drop her off here, with you. She'll only make it harder for you. Good luck with that." Then he was gone.
Alec did not even care that he had been present.
Magnus took off of his jacket, and this time Alec didn't protest as he wrapped it around the little girl.
"Madzie, does your magic work?" Magnus asked hopefully.
She just shook her head no.
"I got you something." She said, pronouncing each syllable carefully. She pulled out a stele that had been tucked beneath her clothes, handing it to Alec. It began to glow when he touched it. How it hadn't burned Madzie's hand when she held it was a mystery for another day.
"Where did you get this?" Alec wondered aloud, twirling the angelic tool in his hands.
"Jonathan." She told him. She then put her hand to his shirt, right over his Iratze. "Use it."
Alec had forgotten about his injuries. Maybe he had just gotten used to it. He lifted the corner of his shirt, instantly feeling a lot better. His head cleared, his wrist and ankle stopped throbbing.
"Better?" Madzie asked.
"Better," Alec replied, still holding the girl in his arms.
Simon's POV
"And here we are," Jordan said, pulling up behind the Hunter's Moon. He had insisted on driving.
Simon hopped out of the car. "I'm going to go tell Luke I'm here." He grabbed a speaker from the back and went in through the back door. Jordan followed behind him quickly, carrying his keyboard.
"Woah..." Simon mumbled when he walked in. There were tons of people sitting and standing in every possible place, most of them Simon knew. Well, he had seen them before. Balloons were placed around the room, some said 'Happy Birthday' while others had pictures of guitars and vampires. "Who's birthday is it?" Simon asked Jordan, who looked confused.
