Alec's POV
Alec raised his bow. "Hands up where I can see them!" He shouted. "Turn around and face me."
Magnus stood next to him, keeping Madzie behind them.
The person turned around as he said, putting his hands in the air.
But when Alec saw who it was he dropped his bow immediately, running to him.
He wrapped his arms around the blonde, scared that he wasn't real.
"Hey, Alec."
"Jace."
Jace smiled. His lip was cut open, his face and arms a filthy mess.
"How did you get here?" Magnus asked, now carrying Madzie in his arms.
"I'll tell you later. First, we have to get off of this island.
He grabbed Alec's hand, mumbling something in an ancient language, which Alec recognized as a Seelie language. Jace closed his eyes, his chanting growing louder.
"Jace?"
"Grab Magnus's hand," Jace mumbled quickly before continuing to chant.
He took Magnus's hand, holding it tightly. His legs were starting to feel weak. His parabatai rune was burning like crazy.
"Jace..."
"I know it hurts. Just trust me."
Alec nodded, clenching his eyes shut.
He felt his feet leave the ground. He felt like his soul was lifting out of his body.
A bright light flashed inside his eyelids, and then he was spinning.
Isabelle's POV
"Woah!" Right above her, a hole opened in the roof, like a portal, but somehow different. Four things fell out of the portal, each landing on the ground directly in front of her.
"Alec?! Jace?! Magnus?! Madzie?! What the hell?!" She bent down, only now noticing that none of them were moving. She started shaking Jace, but got no response. They were all breathing, which was definitely a good sign.
A few Shadowhunters stood around her, staring at them in surprise.
"Bring them to the infirmary." She ordered.
The Shadowhunters obeyed, running to get stretchers.
...
Isabelle was pacing back and forth in Alec's office, waiting for the Head Doctor to tell her what the hell was going on. It felt like hours before the door finally opened. She stopped pacing crossing her arms in a worried manner.
The Head Doctor, Dawn Bellwether, walked in, followed by Magnus, who seemed to be fine.
"Magnus." Isabelle smiled.
"Hey," He replied, accepting her hug.
He didn't smile though.
This worried Isabelle. "How are they?"
"They'll be fine," Dawn said, calming Isabelle's anxiety a bit. "But," There was always a but. Why did there always have to be a but? "It may take a few days for them to regain consciousness."
"Oh," Isabelle mumbled. "What about Madzie?"
"She's fine," Magnus spoke up. I called Caterina. She took Madzie to her place."
That was good.
"What happened?" She asked.
Magnus explained to her how Jace had just appeared on the island, and how he had just started chanting in the ancient Seelie language.
