Isabelle's POV

She stumbled over to the railing of the ship, where Alec and Magnus had disappeared over the side.

Boys are so stupid, She thought.

She scanned the water, looking for the boys, but she didn't see anything. Suddenly, Alec's head popped up above the water, and he was holding an unconscious Jace. Isabelle threw a circular float that had a rope tied to it at them, and Alec caught it. He slid it over Jace's head, so he was wearing it like a kid would. Alec yelled something at her, but his head kept going underwater as the waves rose and fell, and she couldn't make out what he had said. But she knew it was probably something along the lines of, "Where's Magnus?" Before he went back under the water.

She started pulling on the rope. By the time she pulled Jace to the side of the ship, he had woken up a bit.

"Jace!" She yelled. "Climb the ladder!"

He nodded, grabbing the ladder, and, with some difficulty, he climbed it, laying on the deck of the boat once he was up. Isabelle stood over him.

"Where's Alec?" He breathed out. Isabelle looked over the side again. He still hadn't come back up.

"He's in the water. Looking for Magnus."

"What?" Jace yelled. "Isabelle, he's going to drown!"

"Jace, he's fine. If he wasn't you would feel something."

"Honestly, I don't know if I would. Whatever Magnus did to our parabatai bond weakened it an awful lot."

"Oh," Now she was scared. He wasn't dead. They knew that much. But they couldn't be sure if he was okay. He could be at the bottom of the ocean for all they knew.

Alec's POV

The water was freezing. It was so polluted, he couldn't even see his own hand in front of him. The water burned his eyes, but he didn't care. He needed to find Magnus. He pulled the witchlight from his pocket. It didn't help much since the water itself was almost black, but it helped enough. He saw something glint on the seafloor. He swam towards it, picking it up. It was a ring. Magnus's ring. His lungs burned for air and he swam to the surface as fast as he could.

He broke the surface of the water, taking in a deep breath. Isabelle and Jace stood on the boat still, looking worriedly at him. He gave them a small smile to tell them he was okay before dipping back under the water.

Suddenly, something grabbed his arm. It was too dark to see who or what it was, but it was pulling him somewhere. He had lost a sense of direction, the lack of oxygen getting to his brain. But then he was above the water.

"Alexander. Hey, Alexander, are you okay?"

Once he could think properly and the black spots disappeared from his vision, he saw who it was.

"Magnus." He panted.

The warlock smiled. "Come on, let's get to the boat."

Alec nodded and they started swimming towards it.

Alec barely had time to register the current growing stronger, and then he was underwater once again. Magnus's hand slipped from his, and they lost each other in the darkness.

Alec must have slammed his head on something because everything suddenly went black.

Luke's POV

"I don't know." He sighed. "But we can't trust the Seelies. Any of them."

"Agreed," Lorenzo said.

Raphael looked at them. "So let me get this straight," The vampire said. "The Seelie Queen is in league with Jonathan now?"

"Yes," Luke answered. "And from what I understand, Alec Lightwood and Jace Herondale are the only ones who can stop them."

"From what?"

"I have no idea. But whatever it is, it probably includes the death of pretty much everyone."

"That's just delightful, isn't it?"

...

The downworld council meeting was over, and the Seelies and Shadowhunters were both no shows.

Alec didn't seem like the type of person who wouldn't show to his own meeting. Especially without telling anyone.

Clary was at the Institute, staring at a screen angrily.

"What's wrong?" Luke asked her.

"They closed the portal before I could even go through." She pouted.

"Where were they portaling to?"

"Jonathan's ship. They've been gone for hours, and none of them have answered their phones. I'm scared something happened."

"That would explain why Alec didn't show up to the Downworld Council meeting."

"He didn't? Yeah, they must either be in trouble, or they're all dead. Alec would never miss a meeting."

"Clary, Luke, we have a problem." Someone said.

Luke turned his head to see Jace, soaking wet and bloody, walking into the Institute. Behind him, Isabelle walked in with a slight limp, although she tried to hide it.

"What? Are you guys okay? What's wrong with your leg? Why are you soaked?" Clary asked frantically.

"Long story short, Jonathan stabbed Jace then pushed him in the water and our dumbass brother jumped in after him and then Magnus jumped in as well. Magnus didn't come up after jumping in so Alec saved Jace then went looking for him, then Magnus pulled him to the surface somehow, and then the current swept them away." Isabelle was talking so fast, Luke barely understood what she said.

"Okay, calm down. I'm sure they're fine, right?" Luke tried to assure them, but Jace shook his head.

"I can't feel him, like, at all. He's not dead, but I don't think he okay either. And as for Magnus, I have no idea." Jace said.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Clary exclaimed. "We better find them!"

Magnus's POV

He woke up on a beach, the sun had been replaced by the moon and stars. He dragged himself out of the water, coughing. He scanned his surroundings. There was no one else on the beach, at least as far as he could see.

"Alexander!" He shouted, standing up. Oh god. Where is he? No, no, no. I can't lose him. Not again.

He pulled the Omamori charm Alec had given them after their night in Tokyo. He was getting a signal. It was faint, but Alec was close. He followed the signal. It felt like he had been walking for hours before he saw him.

"Alec!" He yelled, running to his boyfriend. He was laying down face-first in the sand, half of his body in the water. The back of his head was bleeding quite badly. He must have bumped it on a rock or something. "Alexander," He turned him over. His eyes were closed, but he was breathing. Magnus sighed in relief.

Alec sat up quickly, coughing out water. Magnus trained some magic on his back, willing the water out of his lungs.

"Alec, are you okay?" He asked once the shadowhunter had stopped coughing.

"I'm fine." He looked around. "Where are we?"

Haha, that was 1111 words. Perfect. I don't know about where y'all live, but that is considered good luck here. So yay. Also, don't kill me. I know certain people *cough* WarmthofRain *cough* are going to be mad at me for this, but AT LEAST I KEPT MAGNUS AND ALEC TOGETHER.

I'm okay.

Thanks for reading, love y'all, bye.
