 Jace's POV

He had just walked out of the Institute when something slammed into him, causing him to fall.

"Ow," He said, rubbing his palms. He looked up and saw his parabatai.

"Alec! What the hell! Where have you been?!" Isabelle exclaimed, glaring daggers at him.

"Relax, we just needed some fresh air. All we did is walk around the park," Magnus told them.

Alec smiled. Jace noticed how the two were holding hands, and they seemed to be squeezing quite tightly.

"Alec, what the fuck?! We thought you got kidnapped again or something! Tell us when you go somewhere please!"

Magnus chuckled and Alec rolled his eyes.

"What am I, a mental hospital patient? Guys, relax a bit. It's not like I'm Jace. Besides, I've got Magnus with me." He turned and met eyes with the warlock, smiling warmly.

"Yeah, okay, and you expect us to believe you actually went to the park?" Clary asked, crossing her arms.

Jace looked at her questioningly, but Alec sighed.

Magnus tried to cover it up. "Yes, the weather was just lovely today and Alexander and I love to feed the ducks at the lake."

"Ducks?" Jace tried to hide the fear in his eyes, but he must have failed as the rest of them burst out laughing.

Magnus smirked, pushing past him. "Now if you'll excuse us, we have something to do." He pulled Alec along behind him, leaving Jace, Clary, and Isabelle alone on the steps of the Institute.

Alec's POV

"I think I found something that might be of use to you," Raj was saying. He didn't seem happy to be helping them, but since Alec was Head of the Institute, he kind of had too.

"A ship. We have reasons to believe Jonathan may be on it, along with the warlock girl."

Now the five of them were standing on the boat. Magnus had portaled them there, but the second they arrived, demons and circle members had surrounded them.

Jonathan, who was miraculously floating in mid-air,  smiled cruelly at them. "Here for the girl, I suppose?" He asked.

"Where is she?" Alec's voice sounded a lot more threatening than he thought it would be, but that was better than sounding as terrified as he felt.

Jonathan laughed. "You sure of some guts, showing up around here, Lightwood. And Magnus, I see the Seelie's failed at their mission. I'll have to have the ones in charge of the mission killed."

Isabelle sucked in a breath.

"Too late," Magnus lied. "They are both dead."

"And I don't suppose you expect me to believe that you just woke up on your own and killed them?"

When Magnus didn't say anything, Jace cut in.

"Isabelle and I killed them."

Jonathan didn't look satisfied with that answer, but suddenly a smile appeared on his face. He flicked his wrist, and suddenly every demon and circle member on the deck of the ship was running at them, weapons, claws, and teeth raised, ready to rip their faces off.

Alec killed three demons and a circle member with one arrow.

He shot arrow after arrow until he reached into his quiver and felt that it was empty. He cursed under his breath. The rest of them were spread out across the ship. Alec kicked someone in the face. Sadly, hand to hand combat was not as effective on demons as with people. He hand went right through one of the demons. But somehow, the demon could still cut his skin with its razor-like claws. He ignored the scratches, picking an arrow from the ground. He stabbed at the demon, which disintegrated into fiery dust on impact.  He continued like that until he heard a shout.

"Isabelle!" Jace's voice echoed. Alec turned just in time to see Jace running over to her. Her leg was... he didn't know how to explain. It was covered in blood.

Jace traced over her Iratze, but he couldn't tell if it did anything. Isabelle was still wincing every time she tried to move.

Alec wanted to help them, but they needed to get rid of all these demons first. The Circle members were all dead. People were easier to kill than most demons.

Magnus's POV

Alexander was so handsome. He looked incredible shooting his arrows, and then stabbing with them the second he ran out. Even with the scar that now ran across his perfectly beautiful face, he was still striking. Magnus shook his head. He couldn't get distracted.

Using his magic to fight wasn't a good idea. It drained him too quickly. Only if they needed it. So Jace had given him a sword. Sure, he wasn't as good as Alec was, but he was still better than most warlocks. And a few shadowhunters too.

Isabelle let out a shout behind him as he was going sword-on-claw with a demon. He saw Jace run to her from the corner of his eye, but he had to keep focused. He couldn't help but noticed that Alec had gotten hurt, again

"Oh, Alexander." He mumbled under his breath, finishing off the demon. He shot a burst of blue magic at the hazel-eyed boy, and his wound healed instantly. He didn't seem to notice. But Magnus felt a lot better knowing he was okay.

Isabelle had been stabbed in the thigh. Ouch. That had to hurt. But Jace was with her. He was sure she would be fine. So he went back to killing demons. The second he killed the last one, he ran to Alexander, who was still fighting. Magnus stabbed his sword through the demon's back.

"Alec, are you okay?" He asked, grabbing his hand and inspecting his arm.

Alec let out a small chuckle. "I'm fine." But then he frowned. He touched Magnus's forehead, and when he pulled away, Magnus saw blood on his fingers. "Are you?"

Magnus sighed, waving his hand over his face. "Yup." He said as the wound disappeared.

Then Alec's eyes went to Izzy and Jace. His eyebrows shot up. "Jace! Watch out!" Alec loaded his bow so quickly Magnus couldn't keep track of his hands. The arrow was in Jonathan's chest before Magnus had even registered that Jace had a seraph blade sticking out from his stomach.

"Jace!"Alec started running across the deck towards him. But Jonathan got to him first.

"Bye-bye, brother." He said before kicking him, hard. Jace fell backward and off the side of the ship.

Magnus got to the side of the boat with Alec just as Jonathan disappeared.

The water, which was already quite disgusting since this was New York, was now red with Jace's blood. The Shadowhunter had not come up. He must have still been under the water.

Before Magnus could do anything, Alec was already jumping over the side. He landed with a splash in the water ten feet below.

Magnus automatically panicked, jumping in after him, leaving Isabelle alone on the ship.

Hi. Y'all I am SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO sorry for not updating yesterday. I ruined my streak. :( I've been REALLY busy and I know y'all probably don't want to hear (read, whatever) any excuses so yeah. I will try to make it up, but that might not happen for a while because I'm in Florida for the next three weeks. I didn't even have time for archery practice today. :( Anyway, thanks for reading, I didn't check for typos, so sorry, love y'all, bye.
