Hello everyone! Welcome to my first Wattpad book, a collab between me and my friend watermelon_caticorn1 so go check her out. She's the one who made the cover too, thank you <3
6 am on a school day.
That was the current time.
Of course, one would assume most students were fast asleep. And if there were any up, they either stayed up all night on social media, or engaging in unmentionable actions.
One in particular was up at this time, but surprisingly (perhaps not, if you knew him) he wasn't doing any of the above.
Yes, he was on his computer but it was for a different matter.
Writing practice.
This has been occurring for a while. And he wrote about all kinds of things.
Fiction, nonfiction, his feelings and thoughts.
Whatever idea that could be expanded upon with words.
And it was all saved on there.
After finishing his latest work, he finished with the usual signature.
M. Anderson.
It was almost time to get ready for school that day.
"This should be fun...". He muttered to himself as he got up and turned off the device.
Then he got ready.
While some saw school as a burden, others saw it as a place with a few opportunities.
Around 7:30 am, another boy was getting ready for school, although he was a little more cheerful about it.
"Time for Mikey to get to school". He told himself aloud.
Michael checked himself in the mirror. Everything looks to be in order, including his joyful smile.
He had changed, showered and got all his stuff.
Now to sneak past his three brothers without waking them.
And...he succeeded.
"Phew, thank god..."
He found himself at the food table, breakfast ready.
After a few good minutes eating with his parents, Michael exited his house and walked to the not so far school.
He noted how he was among the few to get going at this time, but he didn't care.
If this didn't prove how much he looked forward to today, nothing will.
"Music always saves the day". He remarked as he got out his phone and pressed start on his playlist, one earphone plugged in.
Then he sat down, and waited.
School is almost about to start. Nearly 8 am.
A car pulled up. Impossible to miss.
A girl stepped out of the passenger side.
"Evelyn, have a nice day". The soothing voice of the driver came through.
"I will, dad". Evelyn gave him a tender smile.
Her father brought his hand forward and pointed with his index finger.
"And as always, be careful". He advised, stern but sweet and caring.
She nodded.
"Of course".
Satisfied with her reply, he waved briefly at her before driving off, smiling.
Evelyn watched the car go off in the distance, then she started heading in.
A few people were already there, particularly boys. Few of which noticed her coming.
She could hear some fake coughing among them.
"Hi Evelyn".
"Good morning, miss Miller".
"Looking great today, Eve".
She couldn't help but giggle at their kindness and politeness.
"These are the kind of people the world needs". She thought.
Evelyn greeted all of them back just as sincerely then carried on with the day.
She kept looking around for something as she got closer to class.
"Huh". She stopped for a second, then sighed.
"Sometimes, you get everything but what you really want".
"I wish he would greet me every morning and talk to me...". The girl mused solemnly, before she shook it away.
No time now. She can think about it later.
Then she walked into class.
So this chapter was written by me. Next chapter is by Watermelon. That's how this'll work. Hope y'all will enjoy this book. Fill next time!
