Chapter 18

Anakin leaves in five days.

"Anakin?" I asked him as we laid in bed. "What happened on Tatooine, with the Sand People?" I could feel him become tense.

"I.." He began but stopped. "It's okay. I shouldn't have asked." I told him in a calm tone. "No, you're fine it's just-" he took a breath, "I killed them, the Sand People." Propping myself up on my elbow, I turned my body to him. That was the pain I felt.

"I shouldn't have, but I was so angry. They tortured and killed my mother. The worst part is, I don't regret it. I'm just ashamed, it wasn't the Jedi way." He explained.

Giving him a look of empathy, I spoke, "Anakin, you're human. You have feelings, you shouldn't hide them."

Tears began welling in his eyes. "But I'm a Jedi y/n!"
I reassured him, "Anakin, although you're a Jedi, it doesn't mean you're not human."

His tears began falling down his face. "I feel like such a disappointment. Everything I do isn't good enough for anyone! Not the council and not to Obi Wan."

Wrapping him in my arms, he weeped into my shoulder, wrapping his arms around me. "You aren't a disappointment, Anakin. You're far from it. The council has their own way of thinking, nobody can understand it unless you're in it. And Obi Wan loves you Anakin. He always looks out for you."

"You're right. It's just unbearable sometimes." He said as he pulled away and looked at me. Giving him a weak smile, we sat in silence staring at each other.

"I'm gonna go see Minx." I said breaking the silence. He looked surprised, "When?"

"Sometime this week. I found that she still lives here on Coruscant and has a house in the country." I explained. The country in Coruscant meant a neighborhood, not apartments or crammed buildings.

"I'll come with you." Anakin said. "Anakin, you don't have to."

"But I want to, please y/n. Let me be there for you." I chuckled, "You already are there for me Anakin." He smiled, "I know, I'm pretty great aren't I."

Rolling my eyes I confessed, "Yeah, you're pretty great." His ego is gonna kill him someday.

Obi Wan sent me a request to message on the com link. Answering it I said, "Hello, Master."

"Hello y/n. I have good news for you. Well, the council has good news. Come to the Temple." He noted before ending the message.

Walking out into the hall, I made my way towards the doors. Once I was outside, I hopped into a speeder and flew to the Temple. As I flew, different ships sped past me. Everyone is in a hurry.

When I arrived at the Temple, I parked the speeder and walked inside. Proceeding to the council's room, I saw the younglings practicing with their lightsabers in one of the training rooms.

One youngling stood out to me. A Togruta was using the Jar'Kai fighting style with two green lightsabers. She also used the Ataru- Shien reverse grip style.

She fought the dummies easily and deflected their shots like it was nothing. How is she still a youngling?

Leaving them, I reached the council's chamber. Bowing to the Masters, Obi Wan said, "Y/n, we have news for you. Or should we say General." My face brightened in excitement. "Thank you, Masters. I highly appreciate this honor."

"You will be going to Christophsis with General Skywalker and I with his new padawan." Obi Wan announced.

I asked, "New padawan?" Master Shaak Ti explained, "Her name is Ahsoka Tano. She's a youngling but has proved herself worthy of becoming a padawan."

"That's very thrilling, Masters. Thank you." I bowed. "General y/n," Yoda said. "Don't let them control you, these visions you have. Path to the dark side, it is." I bowed to Yoda. "I won't Master. Thank you."

Leaving the room, I beamed. Walking back outside, I stopped at the training room and watched the Togruta. Is that Ahsoka?

She fought like a true Jedi, it was astonishing to see at her age. Her body moved swiftly and carefully, bringing her sabers with her. Anakin will love this.

Before walking outside, I heard Obi Wan call out after me. "Y/n!" Turning around, I saw him walking towards me. "Master Shaak Ti told me you and Anakin have been doing good together." I nodded, "Yes Master. We've been a good team."
