Chapter 6

Turning on the shower, I stripped out of my clothes. Starting to remove my bandages after another week, I looked at the new scars on myself in the mirror. My back had three claw marks and my leg and arm had slashes. I walked into the shower, tilting my head back and stood still, letting the water refresh me and soak my hair.

After I washed myself, I stepped out of the shower. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around myself and opened the door. Walking out into my room, I saw I wasn't alone.

"Anakin! I'm naked!" Holding my towel I turned around and grabbed my clothes. He turned his head away quickly. "I- I'm sorry I didn't expect you to be-"

"Naked." I tightened my towel. "Let me get changed." Grabbing my clothes from my bed, I ran back into the bathroom.

When I was changed, I came back out. "You can look." He turned around and looked at me. "What happened to your hair?" His hair was longer. "You don't like it?" He looked confused. "No no. I love it. But where'd your braid g-" I stopped myself after I realized what had happened. "You're a Knight!" I laughed and ran to him, hugging him.

"Took you long enough to notice." He wrapped his arms around my waist. His eyes moved down to mine before smiling and pressing his lips against mine. Kissing back, I wrapped my arm around his neck. 

Giving him one last big kiss, we let go. "Well, how was it? The testing?" I asked as we moved to my bed. He sat down next to me, "It was challenging, but nothing I couldn't handle." A big grin was plastered on his face. "You're as cocky as ever." I smiled and laid back onto my pillows.

"You know, I'm free tonight if you want to do anything." Anakin winked at me. I scowled, "Stop that." We laughed and Anakin maneuvered next to me. 

While we watched the different ships drive past my apartment I asked Anakin, "What made you kiss me. On Tatooine?" He smiled, "You. It was just you."

"What do you mean?" I asked and turned to my side towards him. He turned on his side facing me, "Ever since we were kids I felt a connection to you. When we parted ways, I never stopped thinking about you. I thought about you all the time, y/n."

He grazed his index finger against my cheek. "What if the council finds out?" I asked, closing my eyes to his touch. "They won't. We just have to be careful."

"Stay with me Minx!" Her breathing was slowing. I held her tight in my arms as Master Shaak Ti ran to us. "We have to get her to the ship, now!" Without questioning where Dooku went, I carried Minx in my arms. "Y/n.." She whispered as her eyes closed. "Don't die on me Minx! You're gonna be okay!" Even though we were just a few feet from the ship, it felt like miles. "Y/n.. I'm sorry."

I shot up from bed with sweat on my face. I turned my head and saw Anakin next to me sleeping peacefully. Setting my feet on the floor, I got up and went to my small kitchen and turned on the lights.

Grabbing a cup from the cabinet, I heard footsteps coming towards me. "Are you okay?" Anakin asked, coming behind me. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you." 

"That's not why I'm up. What's wrong?" He questioned, rubbing my arms. "I'm fine I just had a bad dream." I answered as I poured water into the cup. "You were talking in your sleep. You kept saying Minx." My head fell forward and I took a deep breath. "Since our encounter with Dooku, I've been having memories."

After I took a sip of water, I set the cup down on the counter. Turning around, I looked up at him. "It hurts, Anakin." I confessed as tears formed in my eyes. He rubbed my shoulders and down to my arms, then back up. "Do you want to go see her?" 

"I haven't seen her since." I mumbled. Anakin put his hands on my face, wiping my tears away. "I'm sure she'd like some company. We'll go whenever you want to." Taking a big breath, I nodded.

My eyes fluttered open to see Anakin getting ready. His back faced me and his muscles flexed with every movement he made. 

Being a Jedi really has its perks.

"Leaving so soon?" I asked from bed. He rotated and looked at me. Instead, my eyes were fixed on his sculptured stomach. "Obi Wan has requested to see me." He said as he put on his shirt.

I stood up and walked towards him. "That's too bad. I liked seeing your abs." I gave him a peck on the cheek and walked towards to bathroom. His arm wrapped around my waist and spun me around to face him. He placed his lips against mine, "I'll see you later." Then ran out the door.

After Anakin left, my Master notified me to meet her at the Senate building. She said that she wanted to discuss something important. I tried to keep my nervous feelings deep down, but I couldn't help but think if she knew about Anakin and I.

"I have good news y/n. Tomorrow, you will be tested to become a Knight." My Master informed as we walked through the halls before the debate in the Senate. "Tomorrow?" I asked confused. "That's hardly enough time." Did the council want me to fail?

"Then you better get to training."

While I ignited my lightsaber and swung past the dummies, I remembered about Anakin and I's conversation last night. Prior to being able to think of it anymore, a dummy swung close at me making me focus again. 

Normally I'm not distracted when I train, or just in general. What was he doing to me?

A blaster shot fired behind me, but I deflected it with a spin behind my back. The last wave of dummies came out. I raised my hand above my head and slammed it on the ground, bringing eight dummies down with me. Going back to the basics, I used the Jar'Kai fighting style my Master taught me.

The dummies started to spread out as some came closer. I spun my lightsaber around me to deflect the shots and swung my saber through the dummies closest to me.

Moving outwards, I destroyed more dummies and only had four left which were flying above me. I decided to use defense to destroy them as I deflected and hit them with their own shots.

I walked out of the training room to meet my Master. "You did good in there, y/n." She spoke as we walked back to my room. "Thank you Master." 

"Do you think I'll pass the trials?" Master Shaak Ti turned her head to me, "Y/n, I can't tell you that. If I did it could affect how you perform." I formed my lips in a line, "I understand master. I apologize."

"But I can say that I was very impressed with what I saw." She said raising an eyebrow at me. "Thank you Master." A smile of pride spread across my lips.
