Restricted// Anakin Skywalker x Reader (Book 1)

Chapter 73

General Kenobi was sent to Utapau to destroy General Grievous, while Anakin and I stay in Coruscant. Although I'm pregnant, I'm eager to go out and fight since I've been holding off with Caleb's training in fear that my water would break.

Anakin came through the door with a grin on his face. "What is it?" I asked. "Oh, you know. Just became a Jedi Master." He replied.

"Anakin! That's amazing!" I exclaimed. "No big deal." He shrugged his shoulders. "Shut up. You know it's huge." I smiled.

Anakin made his way to me and kissed me. "Personally, I favor when I have a beautiful wife to come home to everyday." He sat next to me and rubbed my stomach, "How are you feeling?"

"I feel fine for the time being. How are you?" I lied. I've been hurting all day. "I'm great." He grinned.

Although I was genuinely very happy for him, I was also jealous. I painted a smile over it. I didn't want his big news to be ruined by his jealous and pregnant wife. Even though I did wish that was me.

"Oh Anakin, I'm so happy for you." I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a kiss. "I love this." He grinned. "Of course you do." I laughed.

Then, I felt a familiar feeling in my stomach. Today, I've been feeling more pain than I ever have. Taking a step back, I went and sat on the couch. "Anakin, the baby is kicking."

Anakin's face glowed with excitement. He quickly came and sat next to me. Guiding his hand to my belly, I placed it on the spot. "Oh my stars." He was astonished.

I laughed through the pain, "He or she is kicking hard." Anakin smiled, "I told you, little ass kicker."

Later in the day, I was requested by Master Windu. I went to the Jedi Temple and saw what for.

"General Kenobi has made contact with General Grievous and we have begun our attack." Commander Cody said through the transmission. "Thank you, Commander." Master Windu turned to me, "Y/n, deliver this news to the Chancellor. His reaction will give us a clue to his intentions."

"Yes, Master."

I went to the Senate building and waited at the Chancellor's office door. One of his supervisors allowed me inside. 

Walking into his office, his back was facing me while he looked at his computer. "Chancellor." He spun around and saw me. "We've just received word from General Kenobi. He has engaged General Grievous"

"We can only hope that Master Kenobi is up to the challenge." He paused, "Don't you wonder why the council won't make you Jedi Master?"

"I wish I knew. I know there are things about the Force that they aren't telling me." I replied. "They don't trust you, y/n. They see your future. They know your power is too strong to control. You must break through the fog of lies the Jedi have created around you. Let me help you to know the subtleties of the Force."

"How do you know the ways of the Force?" I asked as we strolled through his large office. "My mentor taught me everything about the Force. Even the nature of the dark side."

I sped up and stopped in front of him, stopping him. "You know the dark side?"

"If one is to know a great mystery, one has to learn all of its aspects. Not just the narrow view of the Jedi. If you wish to become a complete and wise leader, you must embrace a larger view of the Force. Be careful of the Jedi, y/n. Only through me you can achieve a power greater than any Jedi. Learn to know the dark side of the Force, then you will be able to save your husband and child from certain death."
