"Admiral Yularen, can you get us to Tatooine?" I asked. "I'm afraid not, General y/n. We're still caught in this fight. You can take a ship and take the child, we'll be fine here." The Admiral said as he walked to the window.
I ran out the doors and into the medical bay. Once I got there, I saw Caleb holding the Hutt. "We have to take a ship on our own. They're still caught in this fight." I said and sprinted to the hangar. "How lovely." Caleb responded as he ran behind me.
We rushed onto a shuttle in the hangar. Sitting in the pilot's seat, Caleb sat next to me in the co pilot seat holding the Hutt. The Hutt cooed and babbled to Caleb as I started the ship. Taking off, I watched the battle ahead.
"Set Tatooine's coordinates." I told Caleb. "Yes Master." He moved in his seat and began typing the coordinates into the ship. Ships flew past us, but nothing shot at us. Moving the ship out of the battle, there was nothing ahead of us. "They're set Master." I pressed the controls, making us fly into hyperspace.
Sitting back in the chair, I looked at Caleb. "Let me do the talking with Jabba. If he asks you anything, don't answer." Caleb asked, "What's wrong with this Jabba guy anyway?"
Raising an eyebrow, I asked, "You don't know Jabba?" He shook his head no. "Well, Jabba is a disgusting slug who only likes money, and his son apparently. He has no respect for anyone or anything and has bounty hunters and smugglers do his dirty work. He enslaves women and put men in the dungeons. If anyone disrespects him, he puts them in the Sarlacc pit or has them fight the Rancor."
Caleb asked confused, "So why are we giving him his son again?" I replied, "We could go through the system freely and reach the clones and other Jedi who are trapped in the other systems by Grievous's barricades."
"Oh." Caleb said. We came out of hyperspace and flew to the planet. Once we landed outside of Jabba's palace, we grabbed our robes. I opened the door, "Keep your hood up" I told Caleb, remembering what Anakin told me when we visited Tatooine. Putting our hoods up, we walked out of the ship with the Hutt.
Walking up to a big metal door, I knocked. A small metal eye extended out from the door and asked, "Who are you?" It asked. "We are the Jedi who has Jabba's son." I told it and putting my hand out to the child. The eye went back in the door. After awhile the door began sliding up slowly.
We walked inside the big building. Gamorreans watched us walk down the long, sandy, hallway. A Twi'lek came out to us. "You have Jabba's son?" He asked. I nodded and he led us into the room full of women and men, bounty hunters and smugglers.
Stopping in front of Jabba, the girl in revealing clothes next to him poked him awake. Jabba's eyes opened wide and gasped. Caleb gave me the Hutt, "Your son is safe Jabba." I gave the child to the Twi'lek. I felt everyone's eyes on us and felt Caleb's unease.
He placed the child into Jabba's arms and Jabba yelled in excitement. "Does the Republic have your blessing to pass through your system safely?" I asked. It took awhile, but Jabba began speaking Huttese and the droid beside him translated, "Jabba says that the Republic is allowed to pass through the system without any problems."
Caleb and I bowed to Jabba. "Thank you Jabba." I said and left the room. Walking back outside, Caleb let out a big breath. "What were your instincts telling you?" I asked him as we walked to the shuttle. "I don't know. That it was gonna be fine?" He questioned himself. "You need to trust your instincts Caleb. If you don't, you could get killed." I said. "Easier said than done Master." He said as the ship door opened. We walked up and sat in the seats.
Starting the ship, I said, "You overthink. I used to too as a padawan." He looked at me, "How did you stop overthinking?" Clicking controls, the ship lifted and took off into space. "I blocked out my thoughts. Block out everyone and everything except the one thing you're focused on." I explained.
"Yes Master. Where are we going now?" He asked. "To Coruscant. We have to tell the council immediately." Caleb turned his chair and began punching in Coruscant's coordinates. "They're set." Pressing buttons, I took us into hyperspace. "Don't say anything unless spoken to, okay?" I told Caleb. "Yes Master." He said.
Jumping out of hyperspace, the ship entered Coruscant. Flying to the Jedi Temple, I said, "Caleb, you did very well. I'm proud of you." A grin formed on his face, "Thank you Master." Landing the shuttle on a platform, I opened the doors and walked out with Caleb. Walking to the council's room, I saw a scarce amount of Jedi.
Once we reached the room, I knocked and the door opened. "Come in, y/n." Master Yoda said as he sat on his chair. We walked in noticing he was the only one in the room. Bowing, I said, "We returned Jabba's son an have the permission to pass through safely."
Yoda nodded, "Good news for the Republic, that is." Yoda placed a hand on his chin, "Happy with your padawan, are you y/n?" I nodded, "Yes Master. Caleb did very well." Yoda said, "Good to hear, that is." We bowed and began to leave. "Stay, y/n." Caleb looked at me and I smiled, letting him leave.
"Yes Master?" I asked. "Meditating recently, have you tried?" Shaking my head no, he asked, "Why?" I replied, "I don't know, I just don't want to go through those thoughts anymore." Yoda stated, "Fear, you are in." Letting out a breath, I said, "I don't feel scared, Master. I just-" Yoda stared at me. Then I realized something I was afraid to admit. "I'm in fear." I admitted.
Yoda grabbed his cane, stood up and walked to me. He stopped at me, making me squat down to him. Putting his cane to my sternum, he said, "Path to the dark side, fear is y/n. Careful, you must be. Dear friend, you are to everyone."
I sighed, "Master, I don't know what to do." Yoda's face was serious, "Prepare yourself to let go."
