"Destroyers are quick. They have pack twin blasters and come with their own shield generators. Nothing short of a cannon will pierce it. But they do have two weaknesses and you will need to work together to exploit them." Anakin announced to the group of rebels standing around the three, powered off destroyers.

Bodhi pressed a button on the control panel that sat on his arm, turning on one of the destroyers. The destroyer generated its shield. "The shields deflect high velocity attacks." Anakin stated as Rex took out his gun and shot the shield three times.

"What the shields don't stop are slow or stationary objects. They're designed to absorb them so nothing hinders their movement." Anakin said.

Taking out a electric grenade from the bag on the floor, I positioned myself low to the ground and let the grenade roll off my hand. The grenade rolled slowly and dropped from the small bumps from the rocky ground.

It went through the shield and electrocuted the droid and made it turn off. "Destroyers are blind from behind. A distraction combined with a rear assault will give you a kill. The trick is to get the right speed on the droid popper." I announced to the observant group.

Rex turned on all of the three destroyers. Their shields went up and stood still. He held out a grenade and spoke, "These are unarmed. Just concentrate on getting it past the shield. Everyone pair up and practice."

Standing next to Anakin, I crossed my arms and watched Ahsoka go up to Lux with one in her hand. She stopped when Lux and Steela walked off together. "She needs to be careful." Anakin grumbled. "You sound like a big brother." I chuckled. "I just don't want her to get hurt."

"I understand Anakin." I said and watched the groups practice with Rex, Bodhi, and Caleb. Ahsoka went off with Saw and helped him practice. I started watching Lux and Steela practice after feeling Steela's frustration with herself.

She grabbed another popper and rolled it. The shield rejected it and Steela grabbed her sniper and stormed off into the woods.

Going after her, I stopped by the rock she was sitting on. "You made it look easy." She said as she worked on her sniper. "It wasn't always that way." I spoke. "Right. The Force. That your secret?" Steela asked and looked up at me. "No. Perseverance. You'll get the hang of it. I wouldn't let it get to you."

"I'm not feeling down." She held her gun up and looked through her scope, "I just know what I'm good at." I nodded and walked back to the base with her.

"Now what do we teach them?" I asked, standing next to Anakin. "Shooting targets. I feel that they'll be good at this, especially Steela." He responded. "Yeah, me too." I said.

Caleb and I went to set up the droid heads marked with x's on them. We placed five on the rock ruins and waited until the rebels were done practicing.

Once they were, they formed up ahead of us. "Now, we'll be doing target practice. Does anyone want to go first?" I asked. Steela stepped forward, "I will."

Moving out of the way, we stood to the side. "Whenever you're ready." Bodhi said. Steela raised her gun and pulled the trigger. The blast went through the droid's head. And another. And another. And so on.

"You're good at this." I told Steela. She put her gun to her side after shooting all the droid heads. "Thanks." Anakin walked up to us, "Impressive."

"Fixed targets are one thing. How about this?" Caleb held out his hand. The droid head levitated and moved from side to side. Steela positioned herself with her gun and shot the head. "Nice job." Ahsoka said.

"You have mastered your ability to focus." Caleb told her. Anakin went away with Ahsoka and talked to her.

"A headshot is the only decisive way to disable a droid. They don't need arms, legs, or even bodies to pass intel to central command. All right, shoot at will." Rex turned his body to the dummy droids.

Steela readied herself and looked through her scope, but stopped. "Wait a minute. What is that?" She asked. Glancing in her direction, I saw them, "Droids! Take cover!"

Everyone scurried around to get cover while the droids shot. Taking our lightsabers out, we ran towards different areas for cover while deflecting shots.

I was with a small group of rebels who shot past me. Deflecting the shots with my blades on each end, I was able to destroy a few droids with their own shots.

"Saw use your disrupters to take out the droids." Steela said over the rebel's com links. "I'm on it." He replied.

The rebels continued to shoot the closest droids, then progressed further. Holding my hand out, I was going to force push droids away until I heard Anakin. "Don't. We cannot fight this war for them. We can only protect them."

He's right. Bringing my hand back to my hilt, I continued to defend. Saw and his group threw disrupters and destroyed the remaining droids.

"We did it!" The rebels cheered. "That was only the first wave." I announced over them, making their cheers disappear.

Through the smoke, a tank appeared along with more droids. "Get ready." I told the men and women behind me. The tank fired at a group, making them run to different positions.

Protecting the people behind me, they shot at the droids until Steela shot the gates of animals ahead of us. The gates opened and the animals stormed out, running over droids.

Then, Lux and Saw ran towards the tank with grenades. They jumped onto the tank and went to each hatch. Throwing grenades inside, they jumped off and flew farther due to the explosion.

They laid on the ground, winded. Blasts shot around them, making me run out to them. Standing in front of them, I protected them from the blasts.

"Y/n! Get out of there!" Anakin yelled. The fire power was overwhelming, but I held until I lost my balance. Dropping my lightsaber to my lower body to find and regain balance, a blast hit me in the shoulder and leg.

Falling to the ground on my stomach, I breathed heavily. I could hear Anakin yelling my name until everything went quiet and my sight went dark.
