"All right y/n, here's the story." Obi Wan said over the transmission as we flew to the monastery. "Jabba has given us only one planetary rotation to get his son back home to Tatooine safe and sound." I replied, "Won't take us that long Master."
"Well, take extreme care. We have no idea who's holding Jabba's son. When I've finished negotiations with him, I will join you." He said before the transmission ended.
Looking down at Caleb, I told him, "Stay close to me Caleb. This is the real thing." He nodded, "Won't be a problem, Master." The ship began shaking as Separatists began firing at us. "Sir, we're taking heavy fire!" The pilot yelled. "Close the blast shields. Get us under those guns!"
"Yes sir!" The pilot said as the doors closed. The clones prepared their guns and helmets. Caleb looked at me with his brows drawn together.
The ship landed and we ran out, running low. Caleb and I ignited our lightsabers to deflect any shots. Clones around us yelled and got shot from the droids above us on the cliff of the monastery. All of us ran to the cliff and hugged against the wall. "So, this is where the fun begins." Caleb said. "Race you to the top." I smirked down at him.
I started climbing and Caleb followed on the rope next to me. Deflecting blaster shots, we continued to climb up the rope. Caleb swung himself onto the walker that was climbing the wall. Caleb maneuvered himself onto the window of the driver. He deflecting any shots that came towards the his and driver's direction. Droids and STAPS began shooting at Caleb as they drove towards him.
As the droids passed him, the walker's front legs unattached from the cliff, making Caleb fall back and hang onto the back of it. The droids began turning around, making me jump onto the walker. Once the droids were close enough, I hopped from speeder to speeder, destroying the four droids with my lightsaber. The walker attacked back to the wall and Caleb hoisted himself back onto it.
"Gotta keep up." I said as I drove the speeder of the last droid I destroyed up the hill. "No fair!" I heard him yell behind me. Destroying the droids that were attached to the hill, I made my way to the platform where the droids were. Jumping out of the speeder and rolling behind them, I sat on one knee.
They circled me with their guns pointed down at me. "Surrender, Jedi." One said in his mechanical voice. Igniting my lightsaber, I jumped up and swung my lightsaber through them and force threw some off the cliff.
Three destroyer droids rolled out towards me and propped up with their guns pointed. "Damnit it Caleb. I told you to stay close to me." A shot from behind me shot and destroyed the walkers. Turning my body, I saw Caleb standing on the walker. "What was that?" Caleb asked. Smirking at him, I said, "I knew you'd get here eventually." He hopped down from the walker, "Always in time to save your life."
Bodhi walked to me and said, "All clear General." I said, "Nice work Bodhi. Have some men look after the wounded." He nodded, "Roger that sir. Gunships are holding at a safe distance." The three of us began walking away towards I droid.
"Too many droids here for them to be renegades. I sense Count Dooku is apart of this. Let's get Jabba's son and leave." I said. "No problem. The hard parts over." Caleb said looking up at me. My eyebrows furrowed, "I wish you would t say that."
We walked towards the big metal door. Once we were there, the door of the monastery began sliding up. We walked into the dark hallway, making the clones behind us turned on their night vision.
"I don't like this place. It gives me the creeps." Bodhi said behind me. "This looks like on of those B'omarr monk monasteries." Caleb spoke as he turned his head around us, "We read about these in my studies at the Jedi Temple."
"Smugglers take these monasteries over. Turn them into their own personal retreats." I said. "And the monks just let them?" Caleb asked. "Smugglers usually get what they want one way or another." I stopped and ignited my lightsaber at the sound of metal walking towards us. "Who are you?" I asked the droid.
"Merely the humble caretaker, O mighty ma'am. You have liberated me from those dreadful battle bots. I am most thankful." Turning off my lightsaber, I demanded, "Where is the Hutt?"
"The battle bots keep their prisoners on the detention level. I must warn you that it's very dangerous down there, my friend." I turned my head to Bodhi, "Captain, we'll get the Hutt. Stay here and keep your eyes open." Bodhi nodded, "Yes sir."
-
"Master, you know we're walking into a trap, right?" Caleb asked as we walked the hallway of the dungeons. "I know." I said. "We just passed two more droids." Caleb was uneasy. "I know." I replied annoyed. "Well I don't like this. Can I just take them out?" I replied, "If you feel so strongly about it, go ahead." Caleb quickly ignited his blue lightsaber and destroyed their blasters, then droids in swift movements.
"Not bad" I told him, "You remembered to destroy their weapons first." Caleb turned off his lightsaber and looked up at me, "I'm improving your technique." We walked a little more before I stopped in front of a cell. "I sense that the Hutt is in here." Holding out my hand, the door slid open.
A small slug slid towards us, crying. "He's a lot younger than I'd thought he'd be." I said. "He's just a baby." Caleb said as he walked towards it and picked him up. "This will make our job a lot easier." I put my hand to my face, "Stop saying that please."
Bodhi started talking to me through my com link on my arm, "The castle is secure sir, and it's only midday." I replied, "Thank you Bodhi. We got Jabba's son. Any sign of General Kenobi yet?" Bodhi replied, "No sir." The com link ended.
"Master, my training didn't prepare me for this. What are we gonna do?" I crossed my arms and looking at him, "Well, you're gonna carry him." We began walking out of the dungeons.
Once we were outside, Caleb stopped and held Jabba's son in front of him. "Master, I think he's sick. He's burning up with a fever." Caleb walked to me and I put my hand on the baby. "You're right. We gotta get him back on the ship immediately." I turned my head to a clone, "Trooper get me a backpack!"
When we got the backpack, we attempted to put the crying child into it. "I hate Hutts." I muttered. "General! Transmission from General Kenobi." Bodhi said. We walked over to the ship with the child. "Y/n, did you locate Jabba's son?"
"We have him, but it looks like the Separatists are behind the abduction. This smells like Dooku to me." My fist clenched at my side thinking about him. "I think it's the baby you smell." Caleb whispered. Looking at him, Obi Wan said, "I bet Dooku is using us to get Jabba to join the Separatists."
"Master Kenobi, we have another problem. His son is very sick." Caleb spoke as he held him in his arms. "I'm not sure we'll be able to get him back to Tatooine alive Master. This rescue may backfire on us." I added in. "If anything happens to his son, the chances of a treaty will disappear. That is a crucial part of our war effort, y/n."
The sounds of ships stopped us. "Master, we've got trouble." Caleb said as Separatists ships flew in the sky. "Defensive positions!" Bodhi yelled. Obi Wan questioned, "Y/n? Whats going on?" I replied, "I'll have to call you back Master. We're under attack and could use your help a little if you have the time."
"I'll get there as soon as I can. Protect the Hutt both of you." Obi Wan said as the transmission ended. "I knew this would happen. Thank you Caleb." He said as I ignited my lightsaber, "It's not my fault!"
