*leahs pov*
Jennifer texted me right when she woke up this morning, which keep in mind, is very early, like 6:30 early. So I didn't see it until I woke up, at like 8:00 because Blue woke me up. But I feel bad because I know she'll probably not have the best day at school.
Her text was basically just about how nervous she is, and how she's freaking out about calling her parents later today. I know she's worried, but I told her that she had nothing to be worried about until when we actually go to see them. But that probably didn't help.
She hasn't responded, but I expected that since she probably has class. She also told me how she got no sleep last night. So I thought I'd stop by and bring her Starbucks. I got her usual iced coffee, and I got a drink for me too.
I know visitors are allowed at the school since I always stop by for volunteer stuff. I pull up to the school, and park my car. I walk in the door, and sign in at the front desk. It didn't take long since they've seen me around before.
Once I get a visitor sticker, I head to the classroom that they told me is Jen's. I wanted to stop by during lunch so no kids would be in the classroom, but I didn't really know what time that is, but oh well.
I got to her classroom and peaked in the window. Luckily they were all up and talking, it looks like they're doing group work. Im glad because I didn't want to interrupt anything.
I knock on the door, and one of the students that were close to the door, opens it and I see Jen's head turn. Some of the kids glance at me, but they just keep doing what they're doing, I'm sure they don't really care.
Jen's mouth drops slightly, then she forms a smile. I get to her desk and she stands up. "Hi." I say and she gives me a hug. "Hey, what are you doing here?" She asks sweetly as I hand her the drink. "I wanted to surprise you, I hope it's ok that I came." I say and she shakes her head after taking a sip. "No, you're completely fine, we're not doing much today anyways." She shrugs and sits on top of her desk facing me.
"So how are you?" I ask and she presses her lips. "I'm ok...better than this morning." She shrugs and I nod. "It'll be fine, I promise, remember what we talked about." I tilt my head and hold her hand.
She looks down and slowly nods. "So what's goin on today?" I ask and look around at her students. "They're just catching up on their group projects that are due tomorrow." She says and I nod.
"Ooo, I didn't know Noah was in this class.." I say and look at him again. "Mhm, I have him for most of the day. Something about him being a transfer student, they're trying to keep him with one main teacher. And I guess that's me." She shrugs and I nod.
"I'd want you to be my teacher too." I nod slowly and she rolls her eyes. "Don't be creepy." She smiles and so do I. "Well I better get going, and leave you to it." I say and she pouts her lip. "I can't stay all day just hanging out in the back of your classroom like a weirdo." I giggle and she sighs. "Ok...come over after school." She says and tugs on the sleeve of my shirt.
"I will." I say and she gets off her desk. She walks to the door with me and we step out into the hallway. "Have a good day. I'll see you later." I say and kiss her. "Bye, love you." She says as I start to walk away.
"I love you too." I wink and keep walking.
Eventually I get back home, and take Blue out for a run. Time always passes so slow when Jen isn't with me or when I'm not at work. But I get to see her more today, and the weekend is coming up.
Which I'm honestly not too thrilled about with the whole meeting her parents thing. But at least I'll be with her.
