"Knockout! Wait up!" I shouted, chasing the cherry red mech. We had just finished a session at our academy and were going to head to one of the energon cafes to grab a frozen energon slush. But, my friend was always one for speed and had immediately ran off.

"Last one there is a rusty scraplet!" He called over his shoulderplate. I growled and shook my helm, running after my friend. I vented and tried to catch up, following Knockout's pede-steps. The familiar building came into view and I smiled, loving the brightly colored exterior. We skidded to a halt as we got closer to the doors, laughing. "Ha! I won! I knew I was the fastest thing on wheels." Knockout cheered and I rolled my optics.

We entered the establishment and saw all sorts of bots chilling out with energon. "I heard they got a new shipment of the pink energon; I've always wanted to try it. I heard it's super sweet and candy-like." I smiled and Knockout hummed.

"Why don't you get us a table, I'll get our orders. What do you want?" The red mech turned to me and I hummed before shrugging. "Typical. Well, don't complain to me if you don't like it." Knockout chuckled and I vented before walking off.

I was able to find a two spot table that was up a couple steps and overlooked one of the energon lakes. I vented with a smile before there was suddenly a cup being placed in front of me. My optics widened as I looked at the liquid, it was mostly blue energon but was topped off with some of the pink. The two mixed a little and formed a purple hue where both met. There was also a rust stick in it that I was to use for stirring.

I glanced up and saw my friend smiling as he sat down across from me with a rich blue drink that had a purplish hue. I raised an optic ridge in confusion. "What mix did you get?" I asked.

Knockout smirked as he took a long sip of his drink, "It's normal energon mixed with a small bit of red energon."

My optics widened and I looked at my friend incredulously. "Isn't that the stuff that makes you super speedy?"

Knockout rolled his optics but nodded, smiling a little. "When diluted and in a small amount, it just gives you a jolt. It's like a mini sugar rush." I vented and shook my helm, stirring my own drink before taking a long drink.

I vented as I looked over my bestest friend, servos trembling as my small team and I induced stasis. Knockout... how did this happen..?

"(Y/d), he's stable and under." One of the troopers noted and I nodded, swallowing thickly.

The mech was in critical condition and barely hanging on by a thread. "What happened to him?" I whispered, getting an IV hooked up with some energon to keep his levels up.

"Autobot ambush. He was speeding away when he was found and one of them caused him to spin out and he crashed into a forest, rolling." The same trooper reported and I swallowed a lump in my throat lines. Damnit... "You got this (y/d)... we all have faith in you."

Yeah.. that makes one of us.

I ushered everyone out, steeling myself I hooked everything up before getting to work.

"Knockout! Why do you always do this to me?!" I shouted, chasing my friend. We were mid-teens now and preparing for medschool, getting a fast track to medical training.

Knockout cackled and glanced behind him at me with a grin. "Gotta find some way to keep you in shape! We both know you only sit around drinking energon slushes all day!" He teased and I growled, narrowing my optics.
