chapter five ~ the one with the argument
Heather's POV

Something that I always found interesting were the types of conversations we would all have when sat in the coffee house, my friends always found something to debate on and more often than not, they were interesting debates. Today's big discussion was surrounding the differences between men and women and how lucky the opposite sex was when it came to certain qualities that they had. In my opinion, men always had it easier than us, for example, we have to go through periods and child birth. Surely, there is no greater pain than that and the man doesn't even do anything. All they do, is stand by the bedside and think about how glad they are that they don't have to go through it. The debate was as interesting as ever because the boys started their argument with the point that women can take off their bras with one manoeuvre. Something that I didn't see as that amazing and made me more confused about the male brain than ever before.

"Would you let it go? It's not that big a deal."

"It's amazing, okay? You just reach in there, there's one little manoeuvre and bam, a bra, right out of the sleeve. Alright, as far as I'm concerned there is nothing a guy can do that even comes close." Ross argued as he looked to the other guys sat around him. "Am I right?"

"Oh, come on! You guys can pee standing up."

"We can? Okay, I'm trying that." Chandler smirked, as I hit his shoulder, annoyed that he was continuously making these snarky comments.

"You know what blows my mind?" Joey added as we all looked to him for the next part of the debate. "Women can see breasts anytime they want. They just look down and there they are. How you get any work done is beyond me?"

"Alright, something that guys don't have to do is endure the pain of childbirth." I frowned, thinking about all that pain made me feel uncomfortable.

Ross adjusted himself in the armchair. "But as a woman you have a choice of whether to go through that or not. You don't have to have children."

"Okay, but we still have to have periods every month. Some doctors believe that we get periods just to prepare us for the pain of childbirth. And that's something a man will never understand."

"She's not wrong." Joey sided with me but winced when chandler punched him in the arm because the whole point of a debate is not to side with the opposing team, you have to stay in your corner until the end.

"Okay, you know what I don't get? The way guys can do so many mean things and then not even care." Phoebe argued and the room went silent for a moment as everyone digested what she had said.

"Multiple orgasms!" Ross ended the debate with something that no one had seen coming and whereas the boys laughed and agreed with his point. The girls all rolled their eyes because if there was one thing that would inflate their egos, was if they won a debate over this topic. We would never hear the end of it and even though there was no more discussion on the topic, we knew that it was over because in their heads, they had found the perfect conclusion because according to them that was one thing that women could do that was more incredible than anything a man could go through.
