chapter one hundred and one ~ the one with a retiring handyman
Heather's POV

Unluckily for us, our efforts to ensure that Ross would never find out about Monica and Chandler didn't get very far because the next day, we could hear shouting coming from Monica and Rachel's apartment and we all knew what had happened. The apartment that Ross owned had the perfect view of this apartment and from his window he would be able to clearly see exactly what was happening on the other side of the street. Now, for his stupid window games that would be fine but for anything else, like the secret relationship, it wasn't fine and now the couple were going to have to work out a way to make sure that Ross wouldn't kill them for what they had done. Hearing the shouting that was coming from the other side of the hall, I almost didn't want to go into the apartment and literally used Joey as a shield when Rachel forced us to see what was happening.

"What the hell are you doing?" Ross shouted as Chandler holds Monica in front of him, also protecting himself which made me wonder if that was just part of our DNA, hiding. It made me slowly step away from my hiding spot and pretend that I wasn't afraid, even though I was terrified of the glare that Ross was sending to my brother.

Rachel pushed herself into the room first, which I was glad about because if anyone could take on Ross then it was her. "What's going on?"

"Well I think...I think Ross knows about me and Monica?" Chandler said with a hint of sarcasm as he glanced over to us quickly.

Joey's eyes went wider as he pointed to Ross, not understanding the situation at all. "Dude, he's right there."

"I thought you were my best friend. This is my sister! My best friend and my sister."

"Aren't you glad that I handled your news better?" Chandler snapped at me, and I almost punched his shoulder but Joey manoeuvred me behind him and sent a threatening look his way. I knew that I could take care of myself but knowing that Joey also had my back, made me feel a lot safer and I knew that I could count on him no matter what.

"I cannot believe this!" Ross shouted, his hands running through his hair as he tried to catch his breath but he was so shocked that he didn't know what to do.

"Look, we're not just messing around." Chandler explained, reaching to hold onto Monica for support. "I love her, okay? I'm in love with her."

Monica looked guiltier up at her brother and tried to smile in his direction. "I'm so sorry that you had to find out this way. I'm sorry, but it's true. I love him too."

It looked as though Ross was fighting every instinct in his body as he smiled in their direction and said in a much higher voice. "My best friend and my sister! I'm so happy! I cannot believe this!" The rest of us weren't quite sure what was going on and Rachel seemed to be more confused than anyone as she sent me a questioning look but I was quick to shut her thoughts down. "Don't look at me, I'm not the one who slept with him."
