chapter sixteen ~ the one with the evil twin
Heather's POV

In my head, I was still battling with myself over the decision to go into Real Estate because now that I had completed more research on the career, I was more interested in giving it a go. I knew that it would be tough to get into that market because it was a popular job but I was desperate to try something new and interesting, plus I was always told that I was good at negotiating things with people. So, I was hoping that that would help me when it came to negotiating with customers, so that they would buy whatever property I was trying to sell them. Plus, the job could have some perks because it would make buying my own place easier and I would know the little hacks to get prices lowered so that I wouldn't pay as much. Then Joey reminded me that if I got good enough, I could end up selling houses to celebrities or even set up my own Real Estate business and make loads of money.

It was a normal night when the whole gang was together in the big apartment and we were settling down to enjoy a Chinese takeaway. Usually we weren't all together in one place because everyone had jobs and things to do but tonight, we had all decided to spend time together and enjoy a quiet night at home. Even though the Chinese food was really nice and settled my craving for the food, there was nothing nicer than Monica's cooking and it was as if she knew it as she was tucking into her own takeaway. She seemed to have a smug look on her face, as if she knew that she could have cooked it better than the takeaway place. We were all crowded around the kitchen table, making sure that everyone had what they ordered when we noticed that Ross' monkey, Marcel, was causing chaos once again.

"Ross, your little creatures got the remote again." Monica groaned, watching Marcel dance around on the coffee table.

"Marcel, give Ross the remote. Marcel. Marcel, you give Ross the remote right now."

Marcel didn't listen because then he hit one of the buttons and the audio was changed into Spanish which made everyone roll their eyes because now, we couldn't watch television tonight. "Great."

"Relax. I'll fix it."

"Cool." Rachel said as she stood in the lounge, watching the television screen. "Urkel in Spanish is Urkel."

Ross tried to hit every button on the remote to fix the audio but nothing was working. "How did he do this?"

Chandler was stood in the kitchen, looking towards the window where you could see the balcony and decided to tease the girls because that was his favourite thing to do. He tapped his chin and turned to face them, a smug look on his face because he seemed to be one step ahead of them, for once. "So, tell me something, is leaving the Christmas lights up part of your plan to keep us merry all year long."

"No, someone was supposed to take them down around New Year's, but someone forgot."

"Well, someone was supposed to write a note to remind that person and put it on the-" Rachel stopped talking when she looked at the refrigerator and noticed a note stuck to the door, confused because she hadn't noticed it being there before and now, she had no excuse for not taking the Christmas lights down. "How long has that been there?"
