"Life is for deep kisses, strange adventures, midnight swims, and rambling conversations. The best nights are usually unplanned, random, and spontaneous. Cinderella was proof that a pair of shoes can change your life. For the good. For the better. Even though Cinderella is not part of reality its okay to dream some times."The five stages of grief, is a series of emotional stages experienced by survivors of an intimate's death, wherein the five stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
But. It's life.
The Senior's Party
I walked over to Allie, who was staring off at the junior's partying who would become seniors next year. I think she wanted another chance, by the upsetting look in her eyes. She was drinking from her third red cup, as the other two we're already at her feet and she was standing by the keg stand.
It was a nice get together that Audrey Johnson had threw. It was a bond fire, and in less than twenty minutes it was already raging. People we're dancing on the rooftops, making out of course, and plainly running around the place.
"Hey, Als," I said. She gave a smile, finishing her drink.
"Can you believe it?" She said. "We're moving on up, you and I. Aren't I going to miss high school."
I gave her a smile back. The days where I look back at us two being immature along with Nina, or just the two of us... I'd miss it all. "I never," I started trying to find the right words. "I never said I was sorry for yelling at you at prom."
Time seemed to stop, when Allie shot me a disgusted look. Sorrow crossing her brown eyes she nodded her head sideways. "You're sorry?" She started. I nodded. "You have absolutely nothing to be sorry about Maia," She tried to smile. "I did the most stupid thing, breaking your trust for a future I... I didn't even want."
Contemplating the day where I nearly died, I realized that honestly, it was my fault because I let myself care. But now, it was worth it, because caring landed me with a newfound trust worthy best friend, and boyfriend. My past was just that. The past...
"So what are you doing after the summer?" I asked.
"I'm hoping "A for D" will grow." Allie said, starring in the crowd of juniors. "But if it doesn't I can move in with you right."
We both laughed at the idea, as I hoped inside she wasn't serious."Hey," She said, "Thanks for putting up with me."
"No. Thank you for putting up with me." I smiled back as we both hugged each other for a long amount of time. "I'm gonna miss you." We both said at the same time, a croak in our voices. With Dana and Laura
Dana and Laura we're hanging out with Ellington and the jocks, as Riker decided to carry me over his arm into the crowd. It was actually... fun.
With Nina
"Heyyy bitches!" Nina's voice came from the crowd, as Allie and I both laughed at her. Nina barely got drunk because of her irritating parents, but now that she's graduated, she could do whatever she wanted. "Dance with me!" She took Allie and I's hands.
"I don't... I don't dance!" I started, but Nina mocked my voice in a baby voice. "I don't dance wahh wahh." And with that, I was dancing within seconds and enjoying myself.
Dancing to Lady Gaga was better than not living the life, which I guess you could say destiny planned out for me. It was either destiny, or otherwise I made this happen.
"Maybe I was uncertain of how I wanted it at first. But now that I've got it, I wasn't throwing it away. I was ready to face whatever explosion life had to offer... because... It was just life. And I'd always remember my crazy, exciting, heart exploding senior year."
After the Party
"You make me so happy, Mitchell." Ross laughed gliding me back to his car. I was drunk from hanging out with my 'role model' best friends.
I was in the casual wear, my hair blowing in my face from time to time as I left it long to my sides for the party.
Ross was holding my sides, as I smiled, my hair covering up most of my face. "That means the world to me, you know that?" I rubbed his back, as he was practically carrying me to his car.
I felt so whole, when we stopped in front of his car. He held me tightly by the waist, letting me lean on his car that I've loved since he first got it. I took a close look at him. Everything about him was different. His looks of course, but on the inside he changed the most. That's why I loved him so much. He changed... and for me. He loved me. The girl in a brown jacket, green shirt and jeans. Simple. And he made my heart beat, so I knew I loved him just as much. And god, the way he looked at me.
He clutched my sides, kissing me with intensity as I held his belt.
"You've never done me in your car before." I said, as his frisky arm opened the door to his car.
"That's because," He said in between kisses, "I didn't wanna mess up the seats." He said, making me laugh. Turning my head the other way as he lied me out on the seats, I was trying to get my hair out of the way; Ross slid above me, and moved the strands of hair for me.
"Damn." He said. "When did I get so lucky?" His finger went across my bottom lip.
"What can I say?" I snickered, as his lips met mine again. It was one of our long lingering kisses which I enjoyed completely. The seats making small noises, the orange gleam that was around us from the camp fire. I let his tongue search mine, and laughing in between him I knew I'd always remember this night of many. I knew I had a village.
