Mahigpit ang pagkakahawak ko sa kamay ni Rina habang nakahiga siya sa hospital bed at wala pa ring malay.
I don't know what happened. Basta na lang daw siyang nag-collapse sa backstage pagkatapos niyang sumayaw. Imagine my panic when Giselle rushed towards me and said the bad news.
Itinakbo ko siya kaagad sa hospital and the doctor said that nothing is wrong. Probably, she collapsed because of fatigue. Pero hindi ko pa rin maiwasang hindi mag-alala lalo na't halos dalawang oras na siyang walang malay.
"Rina," I called her before I squeezed her hand. Sunod no'n ay inusog ko palapit ang upuan ko para maabot ko ang buhok niya at hinaplos ko ito.
I smiled upon remembering how good she was as she danced and portrayed Odile. She was gorgeous and breathtaking to watch.
"I'm proud of you, Ri." Hinalikan ko ang sentido niya at pinakatitigan ang mukha niya. "I love you so damn much. I thank God for giving you to me."
Her eyes fluttered and I immediately rise from my seat when she slowly opened her eyes.
"Thank God, you're awake. Nag-alala ako sa 'yo, Rina," I told her. Napangiti kaagad ako at hinalikan siya sa noo bago lumabas ng hospital room para tawagin ang doktor niya.
Kasama ko ang doktor na bumalik sa room ni Rina at pinanood ko lang naman siya habang tsini-tsek si Rina. Hindi ko naman maiwasang kabahan dahil sa blangkong ekspresyon ng mukha niya. Kaagad ko siyang nilapitan at hinawakan ko ang kamay niya. But I was startled when she immediately removed her hand from my hold.
Napatitig ako sa mukha niya at hindi nakaligtas sa tingin ko ang luhang biglang tumulo sa mata niya.

"Wala," she answered before lying on the bed, turning her body to the left side of it making her back facing me. The coldness in her voice pushed me to the edge of my emotions.

Her shoulders started shaking and her restrained sobs became louder. I sighed before I sat at the empty space of the bed and then I held her body and forced her to turned to my side.
