19. Family dinner

Jaeni's POV

We arrived home, Namjoon's men waiting outside. I helped Soobin out while Namjoon went to talk to them. I carried Soobin as I walked towards them.

Namjoon turns to me. "Here's your keys babe." He said as he gave them to me and turned back to his men. "You can go back, I'll drive home myself." He said. The two men bowed before leaving. I unlocked the door with Soobin in my arms and Namjoon following behind us. Once I opened the door, I put Soobin down. "Go change into some comfortable clothes alright sweetie? I'll call you for dinner." I said and set my keys down.

"Okay, mommy!" He said and went up to his room. "Joonie, do you mind looking after him?" I said to Namjoon. "Not at all, I'll go and look after him." He said and followed Soobin. I walked up to the room to change. I put my bag on my bed, took my shoes off, and grabbed my phone to check my messages for a moment.

I got a message from Chanyeol, he was on a business trip for three days now and he hasn't been here for the situation with Namjoon so I just texted him about it and he just replied now.

Channy: No way sis! He's trying to fix things with you? He's not even mad?

I replied.

You: He was upset but he said he was willing to have a relationship again with me and have a bond with Soobin. So far he's loving Soobin as a father.

Channy: Well are you okay with having a relationship with him again?

You: This may sound morbid I guess but we both know Channy that Namjoon is the only person I loved truly, until now I still have feelings for him and still love him.

Channy: If he's not hurting you and Soobin, I'll respect and support your decision Jaeni. I just want you to be happy.

You: Thank you Channy, well I'll text you later, Namjoon is here with Soobin and I gotta change then make dinner.

Channy: Alrighty then, I'll be home in two days so I'll see you soon, tell Soobin I said hi.

You: Will do, love you Channy😘

Channy: Love you too sis 💕

I put my phone down and went to grab some clothes from my closet, I just got a pair of shorts and a shirt. I took off my current outfit then put my shorts on then my shirt. "Damn." I quickly turned my head and saw Namjoon leaning against my door frame. My eyes widened. "Were you watching me change?" I asked. He smirked. "Yes and no, I just wanted to see what you were doing but then saw you taking your clothes off and I couldn't resist so I just watched." He said still smirking. "Pervert!" I said and threw a pillow towards him.

He caught it while chuckling. "Oh come on babe, it's not like I haven't seen you naked before, that's how we made Soobin right?" He said while walking towards me and I blushed as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I had my arms on his chest, still blushing. "I-I know, but it's been a while and I gave birth to Soobin, don't you think my body changed?" I asked embarrassed. "Changed? Baby, you still have the most beautiful body that I've ever seen." He said and I blushed even more. He chuckled and kissed my cheek.

"W-where's Soobin?" I asked quietly. "In his room playing, I made sure he changed clothes and washed up." He said and I sighed. "Do you..wanna stay for dinner?" I asked, he smiled. "Of course."

I walked out of my room and into the kitchen, Namjoon following behind. I started to grab food from the fridge to make. Soobin then walks into the kitchen.

"Hey, bud, what are you up to?" Namjoon asked as he bent down to Soobin's level. "I got bored, can we play a board game daddy?" Soobin asked. "Sure son, get the board game you want and let's play while mommy's cooking," Namjoon said, Soobin smiles excitedly and ran to his room to get the board game.

I smiled at their interaction and continued to make dinner.

Namjoon's POV

I and Soobin were playing a board game, which was snakes and ladders on the dining room table while Jaeni was cooking in the kitchen. I chuckled when I saw my son tapping his chin with his arms crossed while puckering his lips. He was focused on the game.

"You're next Soobin," I said as I made my move on the board, he sighed. He knows that he's losing. I looked up to see Jaeni still cooking, her back facing me, I couldn't help but admire her gorgeous figure.

Changed?

She still is as beautiful as ever.

"Your move daddy!" Soobin said and looked back at him then at the board. I then made a move on the board.

After a few minutes of playing, I won and Soobin just pouted. "You're good at this game daddy..." He said and I chuckled. "You just need more practice son," I said and he sighs. "Alright, you two, enough with the games, dinner is ready," Jaeni said as she plated the food. I stood up from my seat and went to help her. "Let me, babe." I said and she nods. I grabbed the two plates of food from her and served them to the table. Jaeni follows with another plate of food and some water.

"Eat up you two."

Jaeni's POV

I finished washing the dishes and went upstairs to check on Namjoon and Soobin. After dinner, Namjoon helped Soobin get ready for bed. I walked up to my son's room and peeked through his door, what I saw melted my heart. Namjoon was carrying Soobin who fell asleep on his father's shoulder.

He carefully placed Soobin in his bed and pulled the covers on him before kissing his son's forehead. I quietly walked in and Namjoon turned his head to me. "He's asleep." He whispered and I nodded. I kissed Soobin's forehead before me and Namjoon left his room.

I sighed as I closed Soobin's room door then Namjoon pulls me closer to him. "Thanks for putting him to bed." I said and he smiled. "You're welcome, I have to go now though but before I do, I wanted to tell you something." Namjoon said.

"Alright, what is it?" I asked. "Let's go to dinner tomorrow night." He said. "Dinner? What for?" I asked. "Can I not take the mother of my son to dinner?" He said and I giggled. "You can, but is it something special?"

"I just want to take you somewhere, it's been awhile since we went on a proper date." He said. "You're right, but what about Soobin?" I asked. "You don't need to worry about him, I'll have a nanny and maybe some maids come over to look after while we're out." He said.

"Okay, what time?"

"Around seven PM."

"Alright, I'll have dinner with you Joonie."
