Back in the hospital bathroom, Felix was getting ready to be temporarily released to visit the dance show of his old friends which Hyunjin had given him and Lina free tickets to. He was sitting in front of the mirror again, straightening his tie and toxuedo. He wanted to look extra good for the people attending the show, and his girlfriend of course. "Lina?!" he yelled through his two rooms, waiting for her to respond. She came into the bathroom, wearing a simple, dark blue, short dress, black high-heels and a pair of earrings that matched her boyfriend's. "Wow! You..look absolutely stunning!" he said, making the girl chuckle. "You don't look too bad either" she replied and smirked a little bit. Li walked up to him, grabbing something from the sink top and starting to brush her boyfriend's hair. "Can I have some of your makeup?" he asked straight away, while Lina paused for a second. "I mean, sure, but why?" "Thanks. Uhh..I just wanna try it out, maybe fake a little tan, so that people don't assume I'm a vampire or something." they giggled. "Okay, here you go. You put the cream on first, then he brown powder and the pink powder comes on last." she explained and watched Felix struggle to get anything out of the tube, until she went back to combing his hair, which had become quite long. Lix applied a thick layer of foundation all over his cheeks, completely covering up his freckles. He then went to put on a lot of the powders all over his face, but wiped away the pink one again, only leaving a bit of it on his cheekbones. When he was finished and looked back into the mirror, he started smiling over both ears. The little brown spots were finally gone, it seemed like they vanished forever. Like they would never bother him again. "Hey! Look at this!" he called out to his girlfriend and pointed to his cheeks with his fingers. Lina started to smile too, seeing her boyfriend so happy again. "My freckles are gone! I look kinda weird without them, but I definetly look better." he continued while admiring himself in the mirror. Why hadn't he thought of this sooner? Because he was in the hospital, right. And the makeup wouldn't stay on for very long, since he was sweating or crying every day. "You think so? If I had to pic, I'd say it's exactly the other way around.." Lina quietly said behind him, finally putting away the hairbrush and spraying something on his hair to keep it in place. "R-really?" "Yeah, but, it's not about you looking good for me. It's about you liking yourself, so do whatever you like as long as you're happy." he halted. Does she think I'm ugly? He asked himself in his mind. "So..do I not look good in your eyes..?" Felix managed to say, followed by a gulp and a tear. "No no no! You're so so beautiful! We've had that only yesterday, remember? You're the most beautiful person I know. And even if you weren't, I wouldn't care, as long as you're yourself." she said and quickly wiped away Felix' tear, that hadn't even fully left his eye yet. "Come on, don't cry now. You'll be all puffy if you do, and then the others will be worried."
As soon as they were done, they went down to the big door, before Lix halted and was frozen to the spot again. "What's wrong?" Lina asked behind him. "Nothing, it's just that I've not been anywhere in more than a month now. Let's just go!" he said and pressed the button to open the giant glass doors of the hospital. As soon as they were opened enough for him to fit through, he stormed out and ended up in the middle of the big stone valley, rotating on the spot. It felt like he was dancing, he was living his dream. He felt like he was on cloud 9. The wind against his face, the dirt that the wheels of his wheelie had caused to fly up, everything felt so surreal. "This is so cool! Sad that I find dirt and stones cool, but cool!" He said as he wheeled up to the big fountain in the middle of the big garden, sticking his hand under it. "Someone's very happy I see." An oh so familiar male voice said, giggling before putting their big hand on the boy's head. Lix looked up to see Chris' eyes looking into his. He was so happy to see his friend, that he hugged the older guy as tight as he could around the waist. "So are yu ready to see the dance show?" the older boy asked. "Sure! Are you gonna drive us?" Felix asked in response. "Yup. Or do you wanna wheel all the way?" "Hah, no! I'm just waiting for my beautiful girlfriend. She looks absolutely gorgeous today, so you better tell her when she comes out." Felix said to his friend, a quiet chuckle appearing behind them. "Actually I'm just behind you." Lina said and walked up to them.
When all of them were in the car, Chan brought up the marriage topic. "So.. When are you guys getting married? Where? Who's invited?" the oldest said, raising his eyebrows nervously, waiting for an answer. "We've actually not talked about our wedding yet.. We have other problems to worry about." Li answered quickly, locking hands with Felix. I can't wait to see you in a wedding dress. The boy thought while looking at his fiance, admiring her side profile as she talked with Chris.
Arriving at their destination, all of them jumped out of the car and were immediately greeted by some of the people that recognized Lix. "You're such a strong boy, keep it up!" a lady said. "Wow, you look very good!" another little girl said. For the first time, he liked all the attention. For once, he enjoyed being the center of attention. "Hey! Felix came!" Hoshu yelled as soon as the three entered the bigger hall, running towards them and crouching down in front of his dance-friend. “Hi there~" the older one said and smiled at the boy. “We're so glad that you're here! You'll absolutely love the show!" the little Japanese went on, pushing Lix all the way behind the stage, just to the stairs. Mark and Minho were already waiting there, together with another boy. Who's he? Felix thought, trying to force his eyes to adjust to the darkness. “Hii Felix~ Did you miss your friends?" his childhood friend asked, making the boy also crush into him and hug his waist tight. He didn't ever want to let go anymore. “Of course! It's so boring without you guys! I last saw you on my birthday.." Lix explained, nuzzling his head into his friend's belly. “Can I get a hug too?" one of the other boys, which the guy finally identified as Changbin, let go of Mark, and hugged his other friend. "Why's he here?" he whispered to Hoshu once the hugging had ended. "There had to be five dance team members, and Changbin was our best option." But I'm still a member of it! Had he been replaced? By CHANGBIN?! "Uh huh.." he said and gulped, being overwhelmed with feelings that quickly took control of him. He was angry that his friends, or people that he thought were his friends, could replace him. He mostly felt jealous, that a boy like this could achieve what he wanted: To take part in a dance show, together with the team he'd loved since his first year of school. But also, he was feeling sad, since he thought it was his fault the boys didn't wanna be his friends anymore. He just suddenly wanted to go away so baldy. Either that, or beat up Changbin. How much he hated this idiot! “Wow! Congratulations Changbin!" Lina said, putting her hand on Lix' shoulder. Please notice that I just WANNA LEAVE! The boy thought, looking up at his fiance with pleading puppy eyes. Well, she didn't see and continued talking to the other boys. “Felix and I have been looking forward to the show for such a long time now! Also thanks that we could get the tickets for free." she said and all of them, except the wheelchair guy giggled. He was so frustrated at some point, that he debated about just leaving on his own. He lied and excused himself, saying he had to go to the bathroom and left. Just right before he had arrived at their seeds, he saw a very sweet figure of a middle aged lady smile at him. "MUM!" he called as he wheeled over to her as fast as he could, grabbing her hand once he had arrived. Last time he saw her, on his 18th birthday, she had left immediately, without a proper goodbye. “Darling you look so good! Mum missed you a lot." she said and hugged her son lightly rubbing his back. “I missed you too mum.. I missed you so much!" Felix responded, pressing against her even more. “Mum is sorry for leaving you deal with that situation on your own. I just have my own problems at the moment, so Mum isn't a big help for you." she explained and apologized. “You can help me now. I don't need the machines to live anymore, I'm fine! But..not fine enough to not need a caretaker.. I just need mum, I only need you and Lina." “Oh honey.. Mum's sorry she couldn't be there for you, trust me. I just can't see you in pain, and I have other things with my mental health going on. Don't think I don't love you anymore, you are way more important than any of my things, but you have to understand that I'd be a burden for you." What? She was his mother! How could she be a burden? “Come on, the dance show is starting now."
