「Chapter 60〙

"OH MY GOD!!!!" Chris screamed in horror, seeing something terrible. Lina looked up and saw him pointing to the only other person in the room, her immediately throwing her head around to look at Felix. He was completely pale, lips purple and his eyelids were almost black, something dark was collecting between his lips that were almost not visible through the oxygen mask he was wearing. Li crawled over him, shaking the boy that he would wake back up, saying it was a big misunderstanding and he was only tired or something. "Chris call someone!" She yelled and the guy obeyed, pressing the emergency button next to the bed. Lix moved out of nowhere, coughing and trying to remove the mask on his face. The girl ripped it off and he vomited out a ton of blood, and when he stopped for just a few seconds, he complained that it hurt, a lot. Li kept holding his hand as he screamed and coughed out more blood. The team of nurses from just minutes ago came back into the room, also staring in shock at what was happening to the young boy in front of them. After a while Felix stopped vomiting, collapsing right into his girlfriend's arms and staring up at her with black, glossy eyes. "Ms we have to treat him so could you please wait outside?" One of the nurses asked as Li was looking down at the guy, trying to memorise every single detail on his face since this could be the last time she sees him in a while. Then, she followed the command and sat down outside, next to Chan, who seemed even more frightened than her. "Something's very wrong this time..." The younger one said calmly, looking at her best friend. "Wdym? Has this happened before?" He asked and only got a nod as an answer. "It has.. but this time, something's different." She added. This time she really had a bad feeling. A really bad one. Like he's gonna... No he's not, sorry..." She couldn't say that he was dying. She was really afraid of it being the truth, so she rather wanted to pretend she didn't have a feeling or an idea at all. Chris pulled her into a hug, telling her that everything will be just fine and Felix will be better in no time. They both just knew that it was the truth, it couldn't be any other way. They couldn't imagine a world without him. The whole planet would just be empty then, when the best person was missing.  "Will he make it?" Lina asked as a nurse came rushing out of her boyfriend's room, but she didn't hear her and got something before going back inside. "Don't worry he's going to be fine." Her friend said in Korean, trying to comfort her a bit more. But nothing would help, and Chan knew that.
Felix on the other side of the wall was fighting for his life. He wanted to see his friends and family again, even if it was just a short look. He didn't want this to be the end. For once, he was cooperating with everything the nurses wanted him to do or wanted to do on him. Lix did everything as long as it would mean he'd make it out of there alive. Injections? Sure. Sticking a small tube down his airways to suck out the blood? No problem. He thought of Lina, imagining her holding his hand and telling him to be strong and that she's so proud of him. Telling him that she loves him. I love you too, darling. So much. Felix said to her in his thoughts, hoping that she would somehow know he was thinking that. Of course, it was stupid, but lix deeply believed that it would work. Somehow. All he could do was hope and pray, pray that he would live to see another day. He didn't wanna know what heaven was like, he wasn't curious about that one bit, he knew what earth was like and was happy about that, he didn't need to know anything else. Fox wanted to see the world, with his own eyes and walk earth with his own feet, not watch from an eagle eye point of view. "Mr Lee we're gonna put you to sleep so we can intubate."
Intubate. That was the only word Lina could hear coming from her boyfriend's room. He had been intubated before, and she knew how frightened of it lix was. Even though he would be asleep and probably wouldn't even know that he had a tube stuck down his throat, he would probably be so scared of it. "Chris I need to go in there!" Lina said and sprung up, only to be pulled down by the boy next to her. "You know you can't. Just stay here, he'll be fine." He said and hugged the girl again, who was now sobbing once more. Finally, the door opened and nurses pushed out a bed, which contained a tiny tiny boy. Felix. He didn't seem to be much bigger than a newborn, really, like she could just pick him up and carry him elsewhere. But the tube in his mouth, it looked the size of a giant snake attempting to swallow the little kid all at once. Lina rushed alongside them, holding her boyfriend's hand tight. She attempted to talk to him, just in case he was still awake or just somewhat aware of the situation, but she couldn't get out a single tone.
While Felix, well, he was more horrified than ever. He was running next to his girlfriend, and his own body. It sounds weird but that's really what he saw. He just witnessed the whole situation after being put to sleep as if he was another person standing next to them. As much as he would've been happy to walk, he didn't notice it at all and tried to focus on Li, who was bawling her eyes out in silence as she was next to him the entire time. "Everything will be fine." "I'm right here don't be scared." "I'm not gonna let anything else happen to you." She said to him before they were seperated because she wasn't allowed to go into the room he got in the icu. She said she'll be right by my side... I mean she didn't really lie did she.  He had to giggle a little bit considering the fact that he was right next to the girl. I hope Li can see me. He thought and sighed, knowing that it probably wasn't the case. Why was he like this in the first place? Was he dead? Or why could he see everything as if he was a different person. He sat down on a chair next to his girlfriend, hugging her and telling her he was right next to her. Just that this time, she couldn't hear him. Lina was crying, still, scared of what to come. Lix just watched her and as soon as he saw Chris appear next to him, all went white.
