"Felix stop crying! Chris is almost here." Lina yelled at her boyfriend from the kitchen, while he was sitting on the edge of the couch. At this point, he didn't even know what he was crying about, but he couldn't stop. "I don't know what's going on..." He said and wiped his tears, only for them to return as soon as the others were gone. His throat hurt already and his eyes did so as well, making it only more torturing. "Pull yourself together a bit." The girl ordered again, putting her hand on the guy's face. "I'm trying!" He responded, holding his breath for a second, until his sobbing finally stopped. "Well done darling." The high melody of the doorbell filled the room, the couple locking eyes as soon as they heard it. "He's here!" Felix cheered, slipped into his wheelchair and hurried to the door. After opening it, Chris waved at him with a plastic bag. "Hey!!!" Lix said and almost jumped out of the wheelchair because he was so excited to see Chris. "Look I brought cookies!" His friend said after being let in. Lix stared at him the whole time, with the biggest smile on his face, like a little kid who just saw his dad for the first time in weeks. All the misery from just moments ago seemed to be forgotten already, him pulling the older man along side with him, into the living room/kitchen area. "Hello there." Lina said, waved at them and laughed at Felix's cute face. She hadn't seen him that happy in a long time. The older boy sat down on the couch, Lix not letting go of his hand for a second as he did so, sitting in front of him. "What do we wanna do? Just chat, or wanna play something?" Christopher asked, tilting his head a slight bit, his friend copying him. "I don't know! Hug?" And a hug it was. One that lasted for five minutes, if not more. The younger one just kept nuzzling his head into his friend's shoulder or into his neck, that he felt too bad to end it. "Do you have any games?" Chris asked and his buddy nodded. "I have Minecraft, Fortnite and mobile legends on my phone! You?" "I have minecraft, let's play that." And so they did. Felix invited him to join a world he and Lina had been playing on for years now, showing him the progress that they had made. Huge builds, lots of animals, and the best tools and armour. "Look at how many diamonds Li has!" Chris exclaimed as he saw like 3 stacks of the blue item in a chest. "Yeah she used to play a lot." Her boyfriend explained and scratched his head, slightly leaning in for his buddy, before saying "Don't say it so loud, it used to be five." The boys laughed. "Uh... Li it smells really good, you're an amazing cook!" Chris said, the smell of Bulgogi getting sucked into his nostrils. "Thank you!" She responded from the kitchen, grinning at them. "At least someone likes my cooking!" The girl teased. "Hey! I like your cooking too! It's better than my hospital food!" Everyone laughed and giggled, Lix scratching the back of his head. "It's the will that counts, right?" He asked and Chris shook his head. "Nop, the food counts. By the way while we're at food, don't you have a feeding tube?" The youngest boy nodded, pointing to the spot where it was. "Oh interesting! Does it hurt?" "Not at all, but it's somewhat unpleasant in my stomach if the food is too cold or hot. Well, mostly cold." He explained. "Sorry if I ask anything that's too uncomfi for you, I've just never had a disabled friend you know." Chris apologised, but Felix shrugged it off, since he didn't know any disabled person either. "But... You're not just here because you feel bad for me, right?" He asked, already fearing the worst. "Of course not. I mean, I did feel kinda bad for you that you don't really talk to any of your old friends anymore, but I also simply wanted to hang out with you because I really like your personality." Puh... Now, Lix had just one question left. "Would you still like me if I didn't need the wheelchair anymore? Or would you hate the non-cripple Felix because he doesn't have to be nice to everyone?" Christopher seemed to be in shock at first, but then responded:"What? Why would I hate you if you didn't need a wheelchair? And why do you have to be nice to everyone now?" "Well, I mean technically, if I piss off everyone, then who will help me? Sadly I do need other people's help, and it's hard to find ones that actually do help me." "Oh, well, I mean you're kinda right, but you should be nice regardless. Anyhow I don't think walking Felix is that big of a dickhead, I mean I really like wheelchair Felix, so I can imagine me and walking Felix getting along just as great!" The older boy explained, opening his arms to his younger friend once again, pulling him onto his chest. Lina said something in Korean to them, but of course only the healthy one of them understood. "Are you done cooking? Can you play Minecraft with us now?" Lix asked once he let go of his friend, looking up to the ceiling for whatever reason. "Yeah sure."
They were playing for some time now and had even gotten a whole new world that they could explore. Minecraft Pocket edition wasn't as nice as Minecraft on PC, but it was enough to have fun. Only this time, Felix was bothered by the most stupid thing ever, and he knew that it was stupid, but it still bothered him. He couldn't get over the fact that the Minecraft block characters were walking. His character walked, while he sat in a goddamn wheelchair. "Why does everything have to walk?!" He yelled as he threw his phone on the ground, burying his face in a pillow right after. "Honestly" Chris started. "you're totally right. Walking is sooooooo overrated!" The others laughed, while lix stayed quiet. "Yeah! I think some people just do it because it's mainstream, so boring!" Lina responded, totally agreeing. "Maybe they should make a game where you can only swim or something, that would be at least something new!" The man said again, shaking his friend's back. "Are you making fun of me..?" They weren't, they were actually serious to some point, and even if they weren't, they were just trying to help him. It worked, soon, he started laughing with them. "Maybe we should also sit in a wheelchair for a day, so wheelchair users won't feel left out anymore!" Chris suggested, while the only person who needed a wheelchair pointed to theirs. "There you go. Try not to break it." He said as his friend stood up, slowly walking over. While that was going on, Lina hugged her boyfriend's arm and put her head on his shoulder. "That's gonna be funny." She said and giggled a bit, while her fiance just grinned at the sight of his best buddy sitting down in a, for him, too small wheelchair. He shifted around in it for some time, before he leaned back and laughed because he almost fell over. "I told you to be careful!" Felix laughed. "It's really not that hard!" He kept insisting while Chris was just rotating on the spot, because he was incapable of coordinating his pushes on both wheels. "Hey I'm really starting to think that to use a wheelchair requires a lot of skill. I mean look at me! And I've been in a wheelchair before." Oh right. He had broken his foot around the same time as Felix went back to the hospital a second time, from which he was released only four days prior to today. How time flies by. "Did you have surgery on your foot by the way?" He asked and the older boy shook his head. "Nop! They made a mistake the second time, it was actually just sprained, so that's why I could go home so early. But didn't you leave before me?" "When?" "Don't you remember when you, Jisung and I were in the elevator together? I thought this would be the last time I get to see you guys." Now he could remember. He was home for like a week before going back to the hospital and starting therapy. "Oh yes, my bad. You look really stupid by the way-" he said and laughed at the older boy, who finally had enough and stood up. "Ugh I'm glad I don't have to sit in that thing!" He growled as he sat down in front of it, his head immediately spinning around to the couple. Lix sighs, closing his eyes for a second. "Sorry..." Chris said in apology, but he didn't have to apologize for anything. "I just want my legs back..." Felix huffs, a tear shooting into his left eye. "But you have legs!" His friend said, crawled up to him and grabbed his feet with his big hands. "You see?" He said as he wiggled them around, bending and unbending his friend's knees just with his hands. "Yeah but I mean my legs that actually work..." The older man moved his hands up to his knees, gently rubbing over them. "Your legs still work. Try to kick me." "What?! No!" "Just do it, it won't hurt." And he did. For once, Felix channeled all his anger, all his pain that he had felt during the past few weeks and months, and kicked his friend right into the chest. The man didn't even flinch, before he threw himself back on the floor and stayed there. "oh no!" Lina said to her boyfriend. "You kicked him! Quick, check on him!" Lix fell off the couch and pulled himself over to his friend. The man wasn't moving. "Chris?" He asked and put his hands on the guy's shoulders. "Chris?!" He said again, now shaking his friend. He wasn't waking up. Had he hit him too hard? What if he's... "Chris wake up!!" Lix shouted and started crying. He couldn't bear the thought of hurting his friend. Felix let go of Christopher and collapsed into tears next to him. What had he done?! "Hey it's okay I'm awake." His friend suddenly said from behind him, barely holding back a laughter. When the wheelchair bound teen looked up, his friend's chocolate brown eyes were staring into his, of the same color. "Are you hurt?! I'm so sorry!" Lix said as he shot up, crushing him in a hug. He pressed tight, running his fingers through Chris's hair, just like Li always did with him when he was sad. "Haha it didn't even hurt, don't worry." He said. "I was just Tryna be dramatic, I didn't think you would take it that serious."The man laughed, but Felix couldn't laugh. "I thought I killed you!" He blurted out and wanted to stand up and just go, but he remembered he couldn't walk. "Aww come on" the only girl suddenly said "as if you...you know." She said, and her boyfriend just nodded. He was a little mad, but also relieved. "Yes you're right." He said to the girl and laughed.
After another hour or so of playing games, Chris suddenly got up. "I think I have to go now." He said and smiled at his frowning friends. "Felix will bring you to the door." Lina said, got up, bowed and said something in Korean that they giggled at. Meanwhile, Lix pulled himself to the edge of the couch and grabbed Li by the waist. "What're you doing darling?" She asked out of confusion. "I wanna bring Chris to the door. I wanna walk him to the door." He said and narrowed his eyes at the girl, who probably thought he was insane. "I've only seen you standing once." Christopher said and grabbed his friend's hands off the girl and pulled him up, his hands wandering under his younger friend's arms to support him. It hurt bad, and Lix could barely help his friend hold himself up. "Let's go." The oldest said and slowly started to walk to the door with his friends, only taking tiny baby steps to help his buddy get around. His buddy, who let out a short whimper every time his feet touched the ground. "Stop, please stop. I wanna go back in the wheelchair." He said and clawed his fingers into Christopher's shoulder, letting his legs relax. "I'll get it!" Lina said and rushed over to the living room. Before Felix knew it, he was sitting back down in his chair and the pain was starting to fade away. I'm sure I could've made it that far... He thought as he saw they were only about 10 feet away from the door. "We're the same height Fox!" Chris exclaimed and chuckled. Fox? It wasn't a nickname he'd liked, in fact he always hated when his friends called him fox, but somehow he liked it when Chris did it. It sounded special, like something just between them, that no one else knew about. "Yup." He simply replied and smiled as widely as when his friend had just arrived. "I don't want you to go, it was so fun! Let's do it soon again, Oki?" Lix asked and his best friend nodded. "Yeah! I have something planned, just wait for it." The older blonde boy replied, making Felix chuckle in excitement. "I'm looking forward to it!" He said and wheeled to the door, opening it for his buddy. It was still hot outside, even if it was 5pm, but maybe it was just hot because he hadn't been outside in two whole days. There was a very expensive looking black Caprio in the driveway, and that had to be Chris's. "You're pretty rich, aye?" 'Fox' asked as he pointed to the car once his friend was done putting on his shoes. "Yeah, I just got it, like I said. You wanna take a ride in it?" "Yeah!!" He looked back to his girlfriend, who just smiled and gestured him to go outside. He quickly wheeled down the wheelchair ramp, reaching the car even before it's owner. "Where are we going?" He asked excitedly and his friend shrugged. They agreed to just take a quick drive around the block, before saying goodbye a second time. Felix somehow managed to get himself out of the wheelchair and into the vehicle, admiring the real leather seats and the very posh looking interior. "Woah how much was this?" He asked and the other guy laughed. "It was... Well a lot of money." They chuckled as the engine turned on, the car slightly buzzing, until the sweet sound of very expensive cars filled their ears. "This sounds good doesn't it?" His friend nodded and Lix agreed. "Go as fast as you can!" He said to the driver once they were on the road of the suburb, driving through the rows of pretty houses. 'Fox' loved this. He loved being in cars, despite of what one had done to him. He'd never been afraid of them since either, he just continued to love them. Only crossing roads was critical. The first time he did after the accident, he could swear he saw a black car chasing towards them, only to disappear once it was about to hit. It was probably just a memory of that terrible day, that ruined his life. But hey, without the accident, he would've never met Chris, and he would've never been in a Caprio right now. "Come on just one more round!" Lix begged as they were already driving past his house again. The older one sighed and nodded, then drove past the house and sped up again. "You're really enjoying this, I can tell." Chris said and chuckled at his friend, who eagerly looked out of the window, trying to take in as much of his surroundings as possible. "Yeah! Also It's really nice weather, I like the sky." He said and looked over to the older one, who was focussing on the road. He was about to doze off, but Chris stopped the car once they were home.
"it was really nice with you, bye Chris!" He said and waved to his friend, who was already driving out of the driveway after dropping the younger boy off. He turned around and went into the house, wanting to take off his shoes, but he didn't have any on. "Oh look at your hair! It looks reallyyyy good right now." Lina cooed and squeaked. "I'm wearing a hood, dum dum." He teased and crushed into the girl, pulling her on his lap. "Hey!" She exclaimed and punched his shoulder. They giggled and the girl stood up once again, this time wheeling her boyfriend into the kitchen. Once he could smell the food, he threw up. Out of nowhere, and he failed to make it to the sink in time. "Hey my food doesn't smell THAT horrible!" Li said and pouted, quickly cleaning up the mess as best as she could. His whole hoodie was stained now, and the smell wasn't pleasant either. It almost made both of them vomit. "I'll go change before-"
